    engine for 236

Anyone have any reliable info as to the engine options for the 236? I hope CC doesn't think the 375hp is going to get the job done. There is no info on the CC web site (which is always a joke anyway) as to the engines.

    Thanks.

it will be a dud with the 375 6.0L but your other choice will probably be the 8.1L wich is the biggest joke int the boat indrusty the thing uses fuel like crazy i mean big time!!!! other brands have a 400hp 6.0L but i dont know about pcm. it will be interesting to see what they do.

If PCM was pringing the Python back I'm sure we would have known it by now. If the ZR6 can handle the 226, I guess it can handle the 236. It just wont be excellent...

why are downgrading the ZR6? a 330 pushes the 220. It may not do as well with a ton of extra weight but it gets the job done.

        Boatech,

I don't think I have seen one post from you yet that hasn't been negative about the boats. Are you a competitor??

ski, you're right. But if I wanted to wakeboard a moomba would 'get the job done' also. I think you will agree that the terms 'correct craft,' 'nautique', and 'pcm' suggest something a little higher than 'get the job done...' I dunno, but to me they suggest things like 'the best' or 'number 1,' 'far superior to the comp....' or something along those lines...

I still think they are very high powered Abundiga. The bigger motors drive the price of the boat way up. That is why a 330 is still good for a 220. PCM motors in general are a lot better than the competitors.

Sorry for the verbage that made it sound like less quality than it really is.

all i said was the 236 needs a bigger motor imo and the 8.1 is junk i dont care what boat you put it in. im a boat mechanic my opinions come from years of working on ski boats and using them on the water nothing else so get over it. i never said anything bad about pcm i like their motors as long as you keep them out of salt they hold up great.a wieghted 226 works very hard w/375 so what am i to think a 236 will be like you tell me. so if im not welcome to voice my opinion just type in what you think i should say. that will make for a great forum. i browse all ski boats web sites learing about the boats and people i work on/with. so dont think becuase some doesnt go goo gaa for a nautique they are a competitor.

Dear boatech I am also a boat mechanic by trade, if the boat is having a problem pulling the right rpm then you must change the pitch of the prop to acheive the proper rpm or make the boat loose some weight. But I have driven one of the ^.0 w? supercharger and that motor rocked the boat very well, but the python is a good motor when set up properly and used properly, the only reason I have been told that PCM does not make the 8.1 for PCM is it does not meet emission standards in California and Correct Craft does not want to offer only 49 state legal engine. And not to bash the competion but all the other brands of boats I have worked on do not come close to a Nautique in quality, even Mast... or Bu.

oh yeah the 8.1 is great NOT/ the only thing that P.O.S does is use about 16gal/hr you couldnt give me that engine for free. ill bash them i think malibu is the biggest piece of junk on the water. while i will disagree i think mastercraft, nuatique, tige,mb sport, callabrea all make a fine boat and i would not say cc is any better than the rest of these boats but i said i do prefer the tige for ruff water. the tige cuts through chop like no other ski boat hands down.its a big deal here where i am most of the ski boats i work on are used in the ocean. as for prop pitch i understand what your saying im talking about a 226 with stock ballast it strained and did ok but it worked hard and if you step up to a bigger boat its gona be worse. maybe you should pass all your prop. wisdom on to cc so they can prop. their boats better since you got it all figured out.
