Looking at a 2004 206 LE- gauges not working correct

First post so forgive the new guy!!

Looking at this boat and the owner tells me that at times it will beep and some gauges won't work. He said he had it to dealer and then it would work perfect all the time when they were testing it.

I come here as I know this group is going to have more info than most dealers. (BTW- I am a boat dealer - just not SN!) What can you guys tell me.

Today I am running an older MC but love it because it was retro and the first with an LT1 motor.

Any help would be awesome!!

Good News is that is how I found this page. So how hard is it to put the new set up in? Is this something a few beers gets done or should it go to the shop? I keep hearing about $1000- How much to install it?
