With the 2016 hull change there was no negative impact on resale and now with Covid inventory is extremely scarce so it has caused resale values to increase for all boats. It will take a while for this to catch up and settle down and like already said there are plenty of people who don't want to pay new prices just like there are always people who buy used cars and not new cars. If anything it will push resale prices up or at minimum keep them stable b/c of the higher MSRP.

Why buyer of a Paragon believe that Nautique is not going to innovate and add features of the Paragon to the G23?

I think it just needs to be stated how far and above the Nautique line is than the rest of the market. Particularly the G-series even more so now with the update. Just has the other manufacturers and their design team in a complete headlock and squeezing.

Looks like the top half of the clamshell and interior of the previous G and the lower half (hull) of the Paragon.
Nice overall upgrade for sure. I wish they would have done three things:
1) Get rid of the tired polygon inserts on the inner sides - this is almost getting to be like all the tribal that held on too long in the 2000's - it's been everywhere in motorsports. The inserts are a super cool touch, just maybe time for a new design.
2) Update the dash - cannot stand the narrow screen to the right and the big open nothingness to the left. Add another screen, make some storage, something. It's always been a really awkward design, and in my opinion a step back (other then the screen itself) from the 2016 and older boats. This is the one interior feature they need to carry over from the Paragon - but even then brining that second screen forward a little.
3) Allow the rear facing observer seat to go into a flat position, making a nice width-wise layout / bed in the back part of the boat.
But.... If I was in the market, I would buy one for sure. Goof job Nautique!

One thing I do notice looking over the specs is they list the ZZ8 engine option in the new G23 and 2:1... there's no designation if that engine gets the 1.5:1 like the P23 or not... Could the G23 have more potential pulling power or is this just a simple oversight on someone's part? Honestly I still want to see someone get the diesel option. I feel like that will be a limited build number that will one day come to be sought after like the Pythons are now. Only option I wish I'd ordered with my boat back in 2003!

A second screen on the G would be nice, but so would the retractable tower - they had to leave a few big things to differentiate between the G and the P.
There is still 1200 pounds between the two as well, so for those of us who want the biggest baddest wakeboard wake, we still have to deal with extra bags to get an equivalent wake. That said I'm pumped on the change (anyone want to buy my 2018 w/550 XR7, lol)!2018 SAN G23 XR550

I was shocked to see they got rid of the G21. We almost didn't order a 2020, very glad we did now. I would have been devastated if we'd waited. I can't fit a G23 on my lake due to length limits. Love the looks of the new G23 just no way it can go on my lake. Hopefully they bring back a G21 in the future when it's time to upgrade!

I have been wondering about the batteries since it was brought up earlier. I went through the manual and found this. Interesting...
