Since we sold our G21 we have been waiting on the sidelines for a new G23. I think this new model just slapped me in the face and Im now making it my mission to place an order on a new build. Hard for me to look at anything else other than a 2021. Great Great job.

So... any other 2020 G21 owners curious about how this will affect our resale?

Are the rear seats the same as the 2020 G? I considered those uncomfortable bench seats but the pics of the 2021 G make them look like they may be a touch deeper and at a more comfortable angle.

The rear seat thing is killing me. I love the Paragon rears and didn't like at all the 2020 G rears

I believe they have been modified at least some. I think one of the videos in the first post here mentions that.

Have they actually announced they are NOT going to have a g21, or is this the EXACT same situation as last time when g23 came out in 2013 and g21 came out in 2014?

So is it not possible to order a 2021 g21 or just no info available?

I too think that this is correct. The Paragon’s are deeper, and I suspect they are similar (if not the same-sans the recliners).

I’m a bit confused. If the G23 and the Paragon share the same hull where does the additional 1200 lbs come from in the Paragon. Did I see you can equip the G23 with a telescoping tower as well? Seems a G23 can be upgraded to be similar to a Paragon other than the additional weight. Am I wrong here? Time to upgrade the 2014 and trying to determine which direction to go.......

First, One can only get the telescoping tower on the Paragon. It is not an option on the G. Starting at the bow there are a number of differences between the two boats that explain the weight difference. Things on the Paragon that are not on the G23. Different fiberglass top cap, Second set of bow running lights, higher quality vinyl and padding, different windshield, extra dash video screen, electric drivers seat, three batteries, more sub woofers and amplifiers, the telescopic tower has to weigh 300-400 lbs more than G tower, larger metal framed canopy, larger articulating stern lounge seats, longer seat track for center seat, supercharger on ZZ8 engine, different v-drive, electric engine hatch. Did I miss anything? These different options can easily explain the extra weight.

I believe you're confusing the power folding tower option with the telescoping tower that comes on the P-series... I agree there are a few things adding weight to the P that cannot be had on the G... that tower being the heaviest of them.

You are right Jason. Thx. So after you put the same engine in both and upgrade the music system the weight difference is reduced. Makes for an interesting comparison. I really wouldn’t use the telescoping tower and would get more use out of the extended bimini. I’m not sure I’m a fan of the Paragon elevated rear seats and the loss of storage space the transom lounge seats bring. All the other Paragon features are a plus for me, but at what cost??

Probably because it was designed for the Paragon hull but that boat is 1200 lbs heavier than the G. However, with ballast the platform should be much lower. I much prefer it to be a bit higher. On some Gs with extra weight the platform can start to interfere with the wave, especially when a ladder is installed. Don't worry. Slam your new G23 with 800 lbs of lead (or more, the NSS plates will surely support more lead) fill all the ballast and you might have to reach up 2-3" to the platform. Plus it has that hand grab to make climbing in easier.
