I have added the wakemakers custom bags at 800lbs each and 350lbs of leadwake. This has made a massive improvement in wave push and length. I can easily drop into the curl and recover and I am not a great surfer by any means. Also speed seems to really help the gs boats. We have been running between 11.2 and 12.0 mph. The faster the speed the longer the wave. Since adding the additional weight I have been trying different configs with people ballast in the bow. So far 2 teens that weigh about 170 ea seemed to really help the length and allowed me to fill everything to 100% without overweighting the NSS plates. I have started dropping the port side to 90% when surfing goofy. Hope that helps some.Last edited by Franksatx; 07-26-2020, 11:48 AM.

Thanks for the suggestion to silicone the cupholders
I experimented with my wave this weekend and at full ballast, 2 adults and 2 kids in the cabin of the boat, we seemed to have the best wave and surf experience with NSS-0, NCRS-5 and speed at 11.5. This feedback was from the kids and they went rope less. Next time I'm going to experiment more with the ballast amounts. Sometimes we over think things and when they seem to be working we should not worry about it and enjoy the moment. The kids were having a blast.

We love our 2018 GS24, the best boat for our family and friends. Recently installed additional 1500 lbs of ballast. This video is only 1/4 filled. We had too much gear in the rear lockers. Video: https://youtu.be/ZOGOtXkYJVc

Quote: Just an FYI. Looks like she was going to do a power turn to pick the rider up. Power turns to pickup a rider are frowned upon. Best practice is to cut throttle turn hard to the right, maybe apply a bit of throttle for a second to complete the turn in place and wait for your waves to pass by then idle back on same path to the rider. Takes about the same length of time and creates less of a mess on the water for both yourself and others. Check this video out.
LOL....I noticed the same thing. We've all been there with new drivers. She'll get better. I was hoping if I bought a new GS 24 she would come with the boat !!
