MikeSki had mentioned in another post something about the 1234 prop. I called Acme and they said that the prop does give great improvement on bottom end performance. Does anyone have this prop?? Any advice??

RE: acme 1234 for sv211 ???
Jeff, what did acme say the trade-off was? top end rpm's high? Sounds like the next prop for my 211 if you dont give up too much on the top. Dee2008 Super Air 210----- Current Boat

Dee, I did not get any other info on trade off performance. I was at work and a little busy to get into a long conversation with them. They did mention MUCH better hole shot performance. I am primarly boarding and surfing lately and would be happy to have two props, one for skiing, barefooting etc... and one for boarding. When I load the boat with 6-9 people and all ballest plus extra weight the boat is slow out of the hole. I do use the gate to help it plane out then adjust after the boat hits about 16 mph. Clubmyke, I am hoping that you can provide us with some input.

Do you mean the Acme 1160 prop ? or you are certain about Acme 1234.
I can comment only on the 1160. If indeed you are referring to the 1160, well, I took MikeSki's advice and tried it. I am extremely pleased with this prop. If there is such a thing as a "do it all" prop, then this is the closest to being an all arounder. I have now a pretty darn good holeshot and I would say a little loss on the Top End.
I was previously using an Acme 380 which was the stock prop. Then switched to 644 and didnt see much improvement. So, after MikeSki's review and Bill Week's recommendation, I went for it.
I am very pleased with the 1160 prop.

When I called ACME they specifically said the 1234 prop. I have not done any research on prop choices and am unaware of any numbers/models. I currently have an acme 4 blade that came with my 211TE 06'. Hopefully after clubmyke receives his prop we can compare the performance between the 1160 and 1234. Who knows, maybe they are the same prop, just remarketed under a new number.

The ACME 1234 is a new prop offered from ACME. I tried to put it on my 210 but it wouldn't fit. Not enough clearance between the blades an the hull. But the bigger boats might have more room.2016 SAN 210

I called ACME and they think alot about this prop. I ordered one today and am hoping to see it Monday. They are thinking that the major manufacturers will start to put it on the boats soon.??? MNSuperair, they did mention that it will not fit the 210 (I think they mentioned "without some grinding"???) Not really sure about that though. They did say that I would lose some top end and it is not the prop for footing etc.. However 90% of my speed is under 30 if not 25. It is supposed to help fuel consumption also. I post again after the prop arrives.

From what Gary at ACME siad, when I ordered my 644 the new 1234 is awsome for hardcore weight adders he siad you can put 2000+lbs and the boat won't even act like its there, again this is coming from his mouth not mine. Although I bet the rpms would be pretty high compared to stock.ISN\'T LIFE BETTER IN A NAUTIQUE!!!

I have put about 30 hours on my 211/330EX with the 1160 prop now. It is the best compromise for me and what I do with my boat. It cruises much more comfortably than it did with the 644 dropping about 200rpm across the spectrum yet it still has much more power than it did with the doggy 380 prop. Along the way I did upgrade the manifolds to lighweight-highflow offshore pieces from Revolution marine. I suspect that my 330EX is more like a 340 or 350EX with the addition of the manifolds. What was a little surprising is how this manifold/prop combination seemed to wake up the 3500-4500RPM power band of the boat, I probably put about 50% of my hours in this range. My boat is running full stock ballast with 6 adult passengers most of the time.

Mike, your comment about your exhaust manifolds brings up another question I have not answered yet. What is available in engine performance mods (i.e. exhaust, throttle body, ecm upgrade). I would think that with all the options for street horsepower improvements we could easly get 30-50 more horsepower.??? Does anyone know of web sites or businesses that can ship easy bolt on items such as these???
