Well, the prop arrived this morning. I am going to try to go to the lake today. I have not taken the time to write down rpm vs. speed etc. We went Saturday and were only able to stay out for about a 1/2 hour due to some rain. It may rain today. (praying, I am in Texas and we are experiencing a drought). The prop looks great. Sorry to hear you did not get yours clubmyke. I will keep you informed.

We went out last night for a quick surf run. My initial impression of the prop is great. The hole shot is much more like a direct drive and it had much better throttle response. I did not get any top speed or RPM numbers. The area we were in has LOTS of stumps and we generally idle across the lake to a small area to surf in. We spent more time drinking a few suds than worrying about finding a test area. I will put the boat in the water again before the weekend and run down the lake to a larger test area. I will say that even the guys in the boat noticed an improvement in the hole shot when we got a chance to open it up (they are not really boaters either).

Allright guys, I just got back from taking the boat out. I called our local dealer and had the service manager come along to get his input also. We had a 10-12 mph wind to work with. My boat would top out on the perfect pass on 40 mph at 5200 rpm. the biggest advantage is in the hole shot. The boat jumps on to plane now and has much better throttle response. As I said in the previous post it now feels like my old ski did. I would recommend this prop for about any use. I know that Mikeski likes to get 42mph out of his for onefooting. I still foot, but spend 99% of my time on the short line off the boom so speed is not critical. The service manager really was impressed with the difference also. I will be out this weekend with a full load of people and ballest and look forward to seeing the difference then. The best I can describe the prop is the boat loaded with stock ballest with this new prop feels like the boat did without any ballest with the old prop.

All I can say is WOW, the 1234 has been the best dollar-for-dollar upgrade I have made to my 211. It really brings the 330 alive. Boat jumps on plane almost as my dd did. Im a fat guy, and the guys that go with me are heafty also, boat still jumps outta the hole w/full ballast and our big butts compaired to the 644. Couldnt be happier with this choice, and thanks to Jeff and Mike for your help. Dee

ran the 1234 this weekend..didnt try top speed but hole shot is way better.

rpms were about 3100 at 21.5 mph for wakeboarding (4 big guys, stock ballast, and 600lbs lead).... i could swear we got better mileage the last 2 days between wakeboarding and surfing.

jonfo, I can not say anything about the 856 having not ever used that prop. I would think that ACME would be able to provide input on that question. I will say that the 1234 is doing everything I could ask for. The boat performs great and I do think I'll agree with clubmyke that I am getting better fuel consumption. The engine never seems to strugle or bog down now.

                          Mike or Jeff,

Can you get a RPM read at 34mph next time out? I would be interested, the 1160 turns about 3900rpm at 34mph without a skier. I add 50-100rpm depending on wind and boat load. Sounds like the 1234 is just what our anemic little 330's needed for heavily loaded boarding use and big guy slalom starts.

will do.. did a top speed with 4 peeps and 600 lbs of lead (ballast empty) - 42 mph @ 5000 rpm... water was a little rough and there was some wind..

btw, thanks for your help with the sub box - really appreciated.

clubmyke Was your speed on the perfect pass, speedo or gps. I got 40mph at 5200 rpm with mine on perfect pass. I have a gps unit but need to but some batteries in it. What was your impression of the ski wake. It has a different shape to it from my perspective. There is another 211 in Tyler and I am going to try and do a side by side run with him and his 644 prop. I let you know what we find. Mikeski, I will probably start skiing soon and I think that I will still use this prop. The difference in hole shot and throttle response is amazing. I'll let you know what the wake is like and rpm and 34

it was off the speedo. the water was a bit choppy for pp. we didnt see any change in the wakeboard or surf wake.

the whole shot was very good, even with the lead..

it is hard for me to make a "ski observation" since we dont ski ad always load the lead before we launch.
