Sounds like I need to find a buyer for my perfect 644 so I can get the 1234 as my new spare/optional prop... I just got my bonus, armed and dangerous.

Talked with ACME about the 1234. They claim 2mph loss on top end, 3950rpm@36 for a 330ex sv211, and that the hole shot is amazing. I run an extra900lbs and was told it will feel better than it does with stock ballast. I can deal with that, so I just ordered one from Delta Propellers using the PN discount should be about $390 with 2-day delivery. I'll have the boat at Lake Pateros for 3 days next w/e and will get some numbers.

        Hmmm,

I need the diameter, pitch, and cup numbers from the 1234. I was under the impression that it was something like 13.25x15.5 - 0.135? My 211/330EX barely did 36mph with the 13.5x17.5 380 at 4000RPM, when I dropped to the 644 I was running over 4000RPM @ 34mph. My 1160 (13.5x16 - 0.135) runs 3950RPM @ 34mph on the GPS so I an fairly confident that the ACME numbers quoted to noti_dad are incorrect. All that said, I am still satisfied with the performance of the 1160 behind my 330EX with modified exhausts. It's not neck snapping acceleration but nobody has complained this summer about the acceleration.

Mike, We went out last night and I forgot my GPS. Using the speedo I was 3400 @ 32 and around 3600-3700 at 34 and just under 4000 at 36. Top speed was around 46-47 at 5200. I had myself and one other and only had 360 extra ballest tanks were empty. I want to pull the extra weight and get some better numbers. I am ordering the v-drive bags and will plumb those into the excisting system to eliminate the extra weight I carry. I generally ski and foot more during the fall and winter. I will say that this prop has very much impressed me. I will use my 644 only as a spare now. I don't know how much of a difference you felt going to the 1160, but the difference going from the 644 to the 1234 was amazing. I will take the GPS out next time (Saturday evening).

            From Acme "1234 14.5 LH 14.25 four blade nibral 1 1/8" bore .105 cup "

Can someone tell me how the wake looks with this prop, we ski also and aren't really looking for a bigger wake.

            thanks.

              Jeffk,

You say the difference between the 644 and 1234 was amazing... Is that amazing as in much quicker out of the hole or better across the spectrum?

              Gnautiqueman,
I was shocked to see your numbers so I called ACME and talked to Bill Weeks. After out discussion we came to the conclusion that you need to calibrate your speedo's. The 1234 should be turning about 4100rpm at 34mph, so I would guess that your speedo's are reading 8-10% faster than your true speed. With respect to wakes on the 211 with various props, only my reqworked 380 provided any noticable change in wake. It ran noisy so I think it was not running "true" causing more turbulance off the prop resulting in an increased wake. I feel that a new ACME CNC prop should not cause any change in the wake. If you changed to an OJ or other manufacturer with a different shaped blade you should expect to see a wake change, this is why the ACME props change the wake on the MC's.

Based on the other information that Bill provided we confirmed that the 1160 is the right prop for my usage patterns that include wakesurf, wakeboard, slalom, and barefoot (42mph for one-foot). We also talked about the 1160 for use on the ZR6 boats, it should work great since it's loading pattern is very complimentary to the ZR6's torque curve.

Mike. the hole shot AND the "punch" is much better. As I mentioned I did not have my GPS with me and would want to confirm speeds with that. I will let you know true speed vs. rpm after Saturday. I do feel that this prop will give me a good choice for skiing and footing but keep in mind that I do 99.99% on short line off of boom. I no longer have as experienced drivers and can get some hard pulls on the long line.

Just received an e-mail from Xpert. His 211 is running 36mph at 3900rpm per two different GPS units.

I typically run with tower, bimini, big tower speakers, three wakeboards, a wakesurfer on my tower, and a crew of six people. So my boat is probably working much harder at slalom speeds than a lightly loaded 211. I needed to set my PP at 4000RPM to get a solid 34mph slalom ride under these conditions when I was running my ACME 644.

On another note I was at the west coast nautique re-union yesterday and I was a little shocked to see that three out of the five 211's had ACME 380's. They were Limiteds but all had full ballast systems. They have no idea of the untapped performance their boats can deliver with a simple prop change. I am surprised that Correct Craft is still putting this prop on the Limited boats, they should at least switch to the 1160.

This is what I bought, it works great, works to track distance too.

                          Hi

Just tryed the new prop ACME 1234 with the following results:
                          32mph @ 4000
                          34mph @ 4200
                          36mph @ 4400

The wakeboard wake does not change in my view.
The slalom wake does change a lot, you see a big difference in using the hydrogate. Because the prop has increased it's diameter, the water is directly pushed to the gate. In my case the hydrogate in slalom mode destroyed the shape, best results are taken in middle position.
For my point of view the wake and turbulence did decrease a bit. Unfortunately I crashed my foot by falling to bad with the slalom ski last week. So I wasn't able to test the wake myself, but definitely it looks and works different with speed faster than 30mph.

Loved it!!! Wow what a hole shot. I actually had to watch hitting the throttle too hard. Great pull out for skiing and felt no struggle when weighted down (runnning an additional 800ish lbs and 6 adults in the boat). Found about the same rpms as xpert. Mine ran about 500rpms less than his readings on absolute glass.

Warning.... check the distance to your prop guard. The 1234 just fits with a 16th of an inch clearance when sitting on the trailer. 2 frteinds with Malibus were so impressed they called and asked about something similar for theirs. One of them ordered one right then and there.

Someone though I had raided a Seattle tug and stole it's prop. HA!

Sounds like you might need to shim up your trailer bunks.

Also keep in mind tht while loading the boat is usually not sitting perfectly flat on the trailer, and the rear is floating slightly, but I would call 1/16" clearance way too close for comfort.

I'm making some 1/2" stainless shimms for it. Short term I just moved the prop so the blades stradled the gaurd. 1/16" made me nervous also.
