    2016 SAN Engine Divider update

Hello. Ive searched out all the threads about the engine divider reinforcements. I noticed that my 2016 has an additional support bar in place ? Can anyone say if this was a succesful fix for blowing out the divider on newer 210s ? Or do i still need additional pins or support system?

I have a 2015 230 with identical panels. When I added my larger Wakemakers bags, which extend higher up the panel when filled and put much more force on the panel, I went ahead and removed the support bar you’re referencing so I’d have room to put in vertically oriented reinforcement bars attached to the dividers themselves. I also added an additional channel pin at the rear channel to keep the panels in place.

I never gave it a chance to see how that bar you referenced would do on its own, but I feel the wakemakers bags likely would have pushed the divider up out of its channels and caved the upper portion inward, even with that bar.

Thanks for the reply. I dont really wanna risk it and im leaving on a lake trip in a few days. i guess ill just try the plywood reinforcemnt that was recommended here. May get me through until i can figure out a more permanent solution

I can take a pic for you this weekend when I get to my boat. I cut 3 appropriate length pieces of inexpensive L-channel aluminum for each side, drilled holes, and attached to the panel using nuts and bolts. Pretty easy and much cheaper than the pre-packaged kit you can buy.

Buxton Marine in Dallas has dividers made of 1/4" 6061 aluminum that is part of their bag upgrade package. There is 0 bow with upgraded ballast in the back. If you're concerned about bow and brackets, this might be a decent solution.
