Camera option on the new(er) boats

For those with camera option on their sled, its the camera function manually selected of triggered by speed/rpm/something else? I just installed an RF PMX-8DH and PMX-8BB. The black box has provisions for a camera input with a trigger wire, and the screen has a full 5" color display. Just trying to see if the juice is worth the squeeze on this.

On the newer boats, the Awareness Camera comes on automatically under I think it is 7 MPH or so. You can also manually turn it on anytime.

cool. thx. It's fairly easy to to manually engage on my source unit, but i cannot sleep at night knowing that there is a trigger wire without a home, haha.
