    Insurance question for multiple drivers

My family (parents, aunts, uncles, kids, cousins, grand kids) has a family place in northern WI. We have a 1972 Martinique and a 2007 Ski 206. We are constantly in conversation about insurance coverage-who is covered, who can drive, what is covered.

While I cant answer any questions in regards to current coverage, I am trying do do all research I can before I present an option or options.

I have read some people have coverage on anyone through their standard coverage and then there is also an Umbrella Policy option. Liability, uninsured, personal property, and medical are likely what is needed.

Has anyone dealt with this and what solutions/options are there?

I will reply with additional info if needed to help and Im sure I am in no way giving as much info as needed to answer my question. Please no company bashing.

    Thanks.

You’re really going to need to talk to your insurance agent/company. Policies vary by state and by issuer. There are a ton of variable and there’s not a blanket answer to what you’re asking.

Call SkiSafe, they are very helpful and will answer all questions. They are also likely to offer the best coverage for the best price. Also if you tell them you are a PN forum member, you will get a discount

Second SkiSafe. I’d call them and ask. Very easy to work with and far, far better than progressive, et al type companies in my experience.

For me, BoatUS (Geico) insurance was close to $150 cheaper than Ski Safe with a lower deductible and higher level of coverage. Not bagg'in on Ski Safe just say'in.

I have done in depth comparison on policy language from 6 carriers and I would disagree with the statement concerning the best coverage and price.

I 2nd what Hal2814 said. You need to talk to your agent for your specific policy langugae.
