First tow boat - Looking for some info

Hey everyone, new user here from Canada. I've grown up with runabout boats and seadoo's and now I'm at a point in my life where I can afford a tow boat and have time to use it. I'm more than likely looking at a couple year old GS20 or GS22 however I will demo a few just to see what works best for me. My questions are more in terms of costs associated with a tow boat.

I've already spoken with my insurance company so I roughly know what it'll cost me there. I'm more just curious what other costs I should plan into my purchase?

Gear? (Surf boards, additonal ballast, etc.)
    Daily fuel costs?
Regular maintenance costs? I used to do all my own maintenance and winterization on my Seadoo and O/B boat but would likely get the dealer to do it now.
    Any other costs?

    Thanks!!

Trailer maintenance is another thing that costs money to maintain. Annual registration fees on the boat and trailer. Launch fees or annual pass for your lake. Annual service at a nautique dealer is an easy 1k I’m going to try doing it myself next year. I just spent $1575 on an upgraded prop, wakemakers ballast kit and engine compartment supports. I don’t know that it was required though you might want a backup prop at some point. We have way too many surfboards, we had old boards and then everyone when out and bought a new boards cause we have a nice boat now. Don’t forget to buy a Yeti for your 100k boat...maybe have it custom gel coated to match your boat or at least get it covered in SeaDek...j/k

I guess costs for gear is dependent on your family/crew. Four in our family so we have 3 surfboards and 3 wakeboards...couple of wakeboard ropes and a surf rope, tube and tube rope...and we usually have friends with us so figure 8-9 like jackets, so it adds up...especially if going with custom boards. These things aren’t miserly on fuel, and current cost of fuel on the water is about $4.10 per gallon at our lake. So it’s easy to spend $250-$350 in a weekend. Don’t forget to see about personal property tax either (Virginia has it and it’s high).
