It is very dealer specific. And I suspect that because of the current state of the boat market, they might not be hurting to sell a boat, so why sell it low?

As I am sure you are aware, people never exaggerate on the internet, so there is that as well.

Indeed, not to mention whole picture includes trade in value too.

Yeah bison....but 99% of the people on here when asking about Discounts...or percentage off...are not talking about the "deal" with the trade-in...they are talking about deal off of MSRP. Yes...everyone's scenario is different regionally...but when someone is asking about this or that deal...it's straight up MSRP boat....and most of the time DOES NOT include the trailer.....that's how I'm reading it.

I mean if a trade in is involved, msrp discount can be misleading.

For example there is no net difference on base price between 10k higher trade value and 10k off msrp. So it can be positioned that you are getting a higher msrp off while you really are not. Similarly, trailer price can be used to skew a couple thousand as well.

Aside the biggest variations really are what tall referenced.

Yes it would be more useful to consumers here if everyone disclosed all financial details of course, but that is not likely, nor desired really .

Also imho I would guess there is actually variation is dealer costs.

Until post-covid supply catches up with demand I'd say all bets are off. There might still be some great deals out there, but I suspect there will be less of them as long as build slots are scarce and inventory is low.

Yep...I hear ya. I'd bet though....if you really got the truth from the members on here....the prices they are paying for...let's say a 2021 G23..options similar..... are probably not as far off discount wise as everyone is getting....or claiming they are getting. A few thousand here and there...but 10k or more....your brother owns the dealership....LOL

Currently working on a deal to get a P23 and was hoping for closer to 20%, but we aren't very far off from there. I know supply and demand will determine the pricing so I don't know that I have a lot of leverage to get there at the moment... Is $11k about right for the triple axle trailer?

I was right at 18% off MSRP for my 2021 G23. That included boat, Bimini, and Boatmate Trailer. Only thing that would skew this is that my build sheet lists the trailer but has a $0 next to it so I’m not sure if the boat MSRP has the price of the trailer in it or not.

i feel like that was a decent deal. This is my first time buying a boat with this dealer and I do t have a prior relationship or hook up with them. Also we are in a covid market where dealers have a lot more leverage with their asking price. If you don’t want it at their price then I’m sure they have a list of people that do.

That's kind of where I'm at and what I'm thinking. I understand supply and demand, and the market we are in... As far as my quote goes the trailer is not a line item but there was an $11k difference in the boat+options price list and the total price I was being quoted. When I asked about it, they said it is the cost of the triple axle trailer, which made sense as that isn't mentioned on the BAB site. That said, I'm not sure if that's a reasonable price for the trailer or not? I haven't bought a boat since I got my 2007 Supra in January of 08, that I still have today.

I think 11-12k is what a triple axle goes for. Mine has the triple axle, bow ladder with hand rails, 18” rims, and fold away coupler. I think that is probably around what I paid for it.
