Buying a Paragon is so difficult??

I got the boat....60k down, 6.4 APR....Bank of OZK Approved us. Same bank we have our current boat loan with....

When a bank turns you down its to protect their investment in turn that protects you from a potentially bad economic mistake . Boats are not good investments. Like any luxury vehicle the depreciation is fast and high. The bank knows that and doesn't want to end up with a boat they will have to discount to recover any part of the investment.

Congrats, can't believe they only wanted $230k for it as most of the used ones I see are closer to $255k. Also you'll have to post some of your own pics as that link is kinda busted, you can see the small thumbnail in the inventory list but clicking on it shows no longer available.

Dang they took it down fast. I called them yesterday to confirm loan went through. They told me they where getting bombarded from the entire country on this boat, which i figured was more of a sales tactic but maybe they really were....lol

Price was really good. I took a loss on my current boat so i ended up paying the 250k range anyways but thats OK....

As of now we are supposed to pick it up next week so ill grab some pics then....

You are getting 15 to 20 year notes on these boat loans? I figured 7 or less unless they had a cabin and toilet to be considered a second home which would at least have deductible interest. How do you not end up way upside down in these depreciating assets. I understand the banks concern.

20 year on mine....Gap insurance for sure....I wont be upside down for a couple years since im buying used but I will be rather quick....Truthfully, the boat is nothing but a money pit i plan to make memories with.

Beautiful boat. I actually went and saw it in person. Amazing color combo just wasn't the time for me to pull the trigger on a paragon just yet, plus I wanted the new motor on the 2021. Think you'll take it out around Folsom? Would love to see the wave on this beast come the summer. Congrats again!

Thats where I went wrong. Went to see it thinking it would just be a bigger version of my GS20 and fell in love with the quality and design of the boat.

Thanks for the words. I liked the white colors on my current boat but so hard to keep clean especially with the dang smoke and ash from forest fires. I'm hoping this color scheme will not show the dirt as easy....

I live on Tulloc. So mostly I just stay here but this year they are drawing it down 30' so ill end up in either new melones or don Pedro. We go out in winter for wakeboarding with dry suits on. Probably not as much as we would if I could use my lake but I'm sure we will still go a couple times a month. Your more then welcome to come out. Folsom is a bit out of my area.....

Would love to see the paragon in action and in person so I might have to take you up on that. I appreciate that greatly. How's the waters of Don Pedro? Never been there.

Congrats, pretty epic to sit down and actually design it like you want. I feel like I got real lucky with this boat cause I would have probably been to scared to pick the red interior but after seeing it I love it....You got a pic of the color scheme you went with?

Well this might make you laugh a little but I never been to the lake before we bought this house Sept of 2019. Never owned a boat, or been in a boat till I bought the GS20 I currently got in March 2020....So I dont know what the water is like on these other lakes myself. New Melones I drive over a few bridges and it looks pretty good from really high up....I think we are gonna go next wed if we get the boat next tuesday so ill find out then....
