Pros you know already...looks AMAZING and really pops on/off the water. The metal flake hides the water spots well if you skip a cleaning, but with all the other red and black I don't suggest skipping it often lol

As for interior, same thing as far as how great it looks. You will LOVE the darker interior if you didn't like trying to keep the white vinyl clean. Also I never really found it crazy hotter than other colors, but to be fair we never really let our boats sit in the sun much and are always riding/in motion.

Am sure you took it out on water and found that the wake/wave are just in a whole other world compared to the GS and even G23s right? Seriously it is just nuts how awesome it is. You're also going to love the thruster option...that paired with the larger rudder on the paragon and the power steering make it way too nimble for a boat that big. Not to mention all the other tech in there, and that stereo....

Could go on for days but will just make your wait for next week that much longer...yell once you get it and if you need any help!

We've debated the brown interior over the white but it gets really hot in TX and should be easy enough to keep the white clean. When I saw two of them last week, one had the Sahara seadeck and the other had the dark grey, the Sahara showed way more dirt/marks than I would have wanted so we opted for the grey which means the seats I wanted to be white as we don't care for the look of the brown/grey together inside.

They really look at your history with financing expensive toys. It gets real easy after the first one.

Yep, I would have done grey and white also. I really like the grey sea deck over the brown...Beautiful boat! I gravitate to the light color interior boats. Until I bought one....lol....now I just like to look at them....Forest fires really do a number on them here....

Actually no I haven't. The dealer will not do a water test until we put the 60k deposit and commitment to purchase.

Which is why I'm still at about 80% on this deal. Really pisses me off that I can be financed ready, down payment confirmed, and they still won't do a water test.

I've seriously considered telling them if they won't let us go out on water before down-payment im gonna walk on the deal.

Honestly, the only reason I haven't is due to feedback from scouring the internet and folks like yourself. I'm trusting what I have been able to find and hear.

                Thanks for feedback....

Ah, totally get the frustration but also I do know that the attention on that boat was insane....think they've had to be pretty strict on it so that they're not just putting bunch of hours on water tests. Trust me, it will all be worth it when you do get out on it and you'll be happy all the other folks that weren't as serious as you are didn't! Yell if you have any questions or want more feedback on the Paragon, happy to help and pumped for you!

And what happens if the test drive is a dumpster fire? Do you get to back out with a signed purchase agreement?

I might not buy from that dealer based on the principle that I am giving up a crapload of money to buy a boat and deserve to know ahead of time that it is the product I want.

I think it is unlikely you wouldn't love the boat, but puulleeeaze. And when the market tanks next year, I would remember this, they will not be in the driver's seat forever.

And if I love the boat, I am going to be mad that it has ten hours on it? Hardly. If it is such a great boat, it won't take that many hours of test driving to sell it. And we customers put up with this kind of BS over and over.

Go tell your local Mastercraft dealer that they won't take you on a test drive and see if they will let you go on an Xstar. I would be curious to hear what they say.

Out of curiousity, and don't take this wrong, what demographic are you? I am going to take a leap and say that they are looking for folks with a few more gray hairs who are just going to pay cash. Their approach might be totally different for a more mature appearing gentlemen with bills falling out of his wallet. .

Stand up dealership that goes out of their way for folks, so don't think they're trying to BS anyone. They have had a TON of people wanting to 'buy' the boat and take it out on water, so have to draw the line somewhere and make sure a buyer is absolutely committed. Am sure he'll love the boat, but also equally sure they'll figure something out if for some reason he hates it. And ****, he's more than welcome to come down (pick up 31Bvet on the way!) and go out on mine if it helps!

Side note - I'm a long-haired scruffy look like I can't afford lunch let alone a Paragon kinda guy and they've always been pretty nice to me.

Truthfully, feels like im buying a 20 year old used car with a 530 credit score....Its extremely disrespectful and i will be saying something....Im gonna ask them why this policy exists and explain how it makes me feel and see what they say.

Im 46, ex-con, rough around the edges for sure. Certainly dont look like someone that has money. But they already lost a deal with me last year on the GS20 i got now so they know I have the means to buy a boat and they told me up front via text before they seen me that they do this with all boats so I dont think any of it changes things...

I don’t know if something has changed at superior but last fall I test drove a 2020 g23 without putting anything down. Just let them at the lake and spent a couple hours on the boat getting familiar. Maybe COVID changed things but that was my experience.
