Hi - I am very interested in buying a new 2021 GS 22. I went the dealer and went through options - we got a few (heater etc) but didnt trick the entire boat out. The price came back at $125K. Is that fair? How much room do dealers have to move? A search of the internet and talking to other deals shows that price to be within market, but then i went on JD power and saw a retail number for the GS22 a lot lower. Appreciate your thoughts. thanks

depending on options, that may or may not be in the ball park.
you should expect to be around 20% off MSRP with all options included as the price. this is before tax, title, prep, and delivery fees.
I can tell you my '19 GS22 was more than that, but I have just about every option, including the H6 (ZZ6) motor which was just shy of a $10K upgrade

Tell them you are getting quotes on malibu and Mastercraft boats and see if they can do better. The msrp on my 2017 was around $130 and I think on the new boats it’s $140-150k now depending on options so shoot for 115-120k. I’d ask them to come in under $110 so there is a little room to come up and meet your target price. They can’t have many buyers on the hook this time of year but maybe I’m wrong

Around here pretty much every boat dropping off the truck is sold into next spring/early summer. There aren't many if any new boats sitting on the lot and there probably won't be many for the foreseeable future.Last edited by jjackkrash; 10-31-2020, 10:28 PM.

This has been a seller’s market for sure, and with inventories as low as they are, I doubt you’l find better than 15%-20% off the MSRP. Good luck on your search, that’s part of the fun
