I have a 2005 Air Nautique 226 that's giving me an error code, running really rough, and has water spraying from the exhaust manifold. The only dealer in the area is Marine Max and I don't get a good feeling when I spoke to them on the phone.

I don't have a trailer, so I need it to be picked up for service.

I don't mind paying for an Orlando dealer to pick it up, but wondering if there are any certified (and compitent) mechanics in the area.

Any help would be appreciated.

The Orlando dealer has a good reputation, so if you need to go that way, you'll likely have a good experience.

Unfortunately there aren’t a lot of options. There’s a place up on 41 at 54 Land O Lakes marina that replaced my engine last year. They might be able to scan The engine, but I don’t really think they have a trailer... and I also heard that they aren’t really doing ski boats much anymore. I have a mechanic that does a majority of my work that I can’t do that is mobile, but he doesn’t have a computer. He might be able to diagnose the issue, but he likely would just go through the fuel system start with that work from there.

Which lake are you on?

If you’re really set on having a Nautique dealer look at it I would go to Nautiques of Orlando over Marine Max any day of the week.

I live in Tampa. My initial call to Marine Max when I arrived 2 years ago was less than impressive. They were upfront about it though and said they only work on newer Nautiques. Thought that was very strange. My boat is a 1999 Ski Nautique. Just needed some basic stuff done to it. Long story short, I use Action Water Sports in Orlando, yes the Mastercraft dealership. They have a PCM trained mechanic and they have been great to work with. Super impressed each time. It is a short drive too as they are on the Tampa side of Orlando, right off of I-4. I recommend giving them a call.

Msajecki Call Regal & Nautique of Orlando and ask for Keith. They will be able to help you out. I do not know if they offer dockside service anymore or not but they used to and they have trailers available for their use on pick ups. I drive 2.5hrs out of my way from Jacksonville to take my G and 216 there. Their service department is phenomenal.

Yes call Orlando Nautiques, I have used for my past 3 G23's and they are top notch all the way. I sold my 19 G23 to a family in Jacksonville and they dock service them just fine and l am sure they already have Tampa customers they service.
