2,000 miles to Powell? HOLY MACKERAL!! I must be getting old thinking my 600 mile trek is a tad on the 'far' side.

From Denver to Indianapolis (1100 miles), from there to Cumberland Lake, KY for a houseboat trip, down to Truman Lake, Missouri, then back to Denver. Six of us had just been laid-off, so that was our celebration trip in my RV with a buddy's boat in tow!1995 Super Sport, GT40 with EFI

We usually drive to Lake Shasta once or twice a year - about 360 miles each way from here in the Willamette Valley. A Lake Powell trip has been kicked around some but we have such a great time at Shasta its hard to justify the extra 24 hrs. on the road.2000 SAN

WOW !!!!!!!!!!!!
Some of you have some serious TOWING MILEAGE stories ...
I'll add to the thread .... nowhere near what some of you have done.
From Folsom to Lake Shasta .... about a 3 hr drive one-way. That's my longest tow ... TO DATE.
The wife and I are talking about going down to Arizona's Lake Powell.
That's a nice heatlhy tow ..... for us, anyway.

Back and forth to Lake Cumberland several times a year -- about 700 miles roundtrip.
This year we decided to keep the boat in Ky in a dry storage spot. Cost for gas for a round trip went from $300 to $60.SocBum
