Lost my 2021 G23 build slot.

Dealer just called and told me they won't be able to build the G23 I put a deposit on in September until the 2022 model year.
Told me they are having part shortages, it was supposed to be done mid May.
They said I should be able to get a 2022 model by August. Pretty bummed out, anyone else heard about this?

I ordered late October and my dealer said I'm on track for Mid to late March delivery. My last day to "change options" on the boat was 1/25/21. Hadn't heard any part shortages from dealer. Only issue I had was the rims I picked for my Boatmate were out of stock and I had to choose other rims. Hope it works out for you even if you have to wait for the '22.

It's completely possible with the way things are these days with all the shortages. Or..... someone else came in, paid a $5K gratuity and took your slot? Sounds fishy, I'd want to see something from the factory that stated your slot got canceled. I'd also want to see what they were short on. Maybe it's an option you could do without.

I know the above is a jaded view and most likely not true but this happens all the time in the automotive business. We'd all like to think boat dealers are above this but it certainly wouldn't be the first time a car/boat dealership has lost a franchise over shady stuff like this.

That's a real bummer. I ordered in Oct and got my boat 3 weeks ago. It was originally slated for a March build but my dealer stayed on top of things and a slot opened up when someone cancelled their order. I'm not sure how many boats your dealer has on order but this may be an option to discuss with them.

Yea I was just in there 10 days ago and was told everything was a go for May.
Just talk to my rep and was told its the windshields and towers they are low on,
if for some reason I can't get a 2021 it puts me in front of the line for a 2022 G23.
First world problems.

Sorry to hear that...it would suck to not have a boat for the first couple months of summer but the bright idea is you’d have a 2022 with less depreciation and any new updates...as you said, first world problems, but I’d still be disappointed

Seems very fishy, towers and windshields... all have same minus tower color maybe. So no g’s being made between May and August? Yea right.

Did you order power or manual tower? Do you have the option to change it to speed it up? Windshield seems strange though...

I did not even order anything yet, just put a deposit down in September for a build slot in May. I was told it was one of the last G23 build slots they had.

I wouldn't be surprised if the world microchip shortage is now trickling down to the boat business and Nautique will not be building as many boats as they allotted. I work in the automotive industry and this shortage is impacting us big time. Ford just announced it will be cutting back production on the f-150 by 50% due to this shortage.

it doesn't add up...two people here said they ordered after you in october and they're still getting their boats. i'm guessing your dealer dropped the ball and didn't submit paperwork in a timely manner or something.
