I haven't heard your story; what has happened to yours? They are just pulling and replacing the top section of these towers, so they aren't "de-rigging" the tower base and middle section from the boats through the process.

They took it in for gel coat issues on the starboard side. There was some bubbling in my black flake that I didn’t even notice but they did when I had the v drive issue. When I put it away I found some vey long cracks in the gel on the same side but under the water line. No idea how lomg they were there. No way I would have seen it on the lift. It was right at the fender level on the trailer in my haze gray section which is the lower hull

I know I keep asking questions, but what with the v drive?! I can't remember if you got the ZZ8 with the differently geared v drive like mine or not?

I did not postpone mine so I got the original 550. I hear the noise level is better and I don’t have any issues with power. The issue with the drive were some bolts that weren’t sped’d correctly and came loose or snapped. There was a vibration that got wosrse and worse. We thought it was a prop but after 3 changes (mine, rebuilt one and a new one from dealer) they realized what the issue was. Nautique overnighted a new v drive unit and I had it back in the water in 2-3 days from dropping it off. All I know is I only missed one day of boating.

183 hours and that was the only major issue. We had a few small issues. Screen connection issue, battery tender wasn’t working and some minor trim issues. All of which were present for most of the season but weren’t worth pulling the boat for.

The screen connection issue was fairly prevalent; they replaced mine as a preventative measure. It seems the line between the screens would get pinched/make for display problems. Lookout for your tower camera actuator to possibly go bad; this is common as well. (I know, all of this is off the original topic...)

I only got the warning a few times and once the screen didn’t come on but a quick power cycle took care of it. Hopefully all these issues are resolved on the trip to the doctor
