Wakeboard wake new g23

I have a G23 2019 and was wondering how the new G23 wakeboard wake compares to the 2019.

I demo'd one this weekend at Russell Marine on Lake Martin. I did not get in the water, but the stock wake with full ballast at 23mph looked very clean. Was impressed with the way it looked, but know that's not the same as riding it.

And this is coming from a MasterCraft guy. Flirting with the idea of coming over to the dark side for a boat this year or next.

The wakeboarding wake is a little more mellow than the older hulls. It doesn't have as much vert at the top of the wake. Not a bad thing just different. Still a huge wave with tons of pop. I'd just say its not as aggressive.

They are pretty similar. The wakeboard wake would definitely not be a reason to trade into a new one.

We have a 2018 G23 and are also considering changing up to a 2022 G23. We had the opportunity to ride behind a 21 G23 and noticed immediately that the transition was fairly mellow and wasn’t quite as big as what we are accustomed to. My question to people that wakeboard behind the '21 is how does it react to additional weight and where do you place the extra weight to lip up the transition to get it closer to our 2018 G23?
