I was seriously looking at ordering a 2021 GS20 this winter but just couldn't swing it before the order deadline. With the demand on boats the last couple years it's not even looking like I'll be able to grab a used one to get on the water this summer. I'm just curious when the orders usually open up for the 2022 model years?

Yep, what Jeff said. We narrowly missed out on the dealers last 21. We just placed our order for a 2022 GS22. They transition production to the 22 MY June 15th, I'm told and we expect to have our boat by the end of July, or sooner.

I have chance at a June2021 build slot. I'm reluctant to accept a boat in late June or into July because the 2022s will be coming and my new boat will instantly depreciate even more. Should I just change it to a 2022 order and hang onto my current boat for one more season?

was originally going to get a 2020. Timing wasn't right and then I heard about the hull change so I ordered a 2021.The change in design was worth the 6% increase in price from 2020 to 2021.

I wonder what happens from here.
I drove 100mi last April to a dealer to purchase a 2019 leftover GS24 for $99k.
I got there, and the salesman said oh no, that sold last week. But we can sure order you anything you’d like!
I was a little peeved, as he knew exactly what boat I was there for, and his plan of attack all along.
He offered me 38% off of build MSRP.
However I was frustrated at my wasted 200mi round trip and told him forget it.
Boy do I wish I could go back and repeat that encounter
What are you guys being quoted as discount these days on your builds?

you are a fool if you turned down 38% off. Gotta be trolling.

Which about makes sense regarding how times were and they seemed to just to want to fill orders, even if at cost.
Which, this is pure hearsay from another dealer -but also makes sense they may have wanted to fill orders because again, just hearsay so I cannot confirm, but it is that they were losing the line due to continuing low sales volume.
