Speakers on Telescoping Tower Covers?

Hi... new member... I have a 2022 G23 on order with the telescoping tower... Anyone know anything about speaker covers for those speakers? They come in their own enclosure, so the build sheet didn't have an option that looked like it worked for speaker covers... I assume they are the same as the 2021 Paragon... any advice? Do they not need covers because of the enclosure?

I believe you cant get speaker covers for the telescoping tower. The cover that comes with that boat is an over the tower cover so whenever the boat is covered the speakers would be as well.

If you are looking to cover the speakers when the cover is not on the boat you would probably need to have something made custom.

Ohhhh..... So the boat cover (when you have the telescoping tower) goes over the tower? Cool... that solves the problem..... I didn't realize that... This is just for storage when the boat is on my lift.... I had the boat cover and platform cover.... If the cover will go over the tower, I'm all set.

Try Jim Phillips with Speaker Sox. jim@speakersox.com. They provide superb customer service and he made me covers for my Triton board racks before they were a standard stock item. I'm sure they could make a pair of covers for your enclosed speakers. I use their covers on my standard tower speakers for my 2017 G23 and never take them off for protection.

That's not necessarily true. There is an option for a tower-up or a tower-down cover when the boat is ordered. I have always ordered tower-down covers, and I suggest you do the same. If you get the tower-up cover, the speakers would not be covered.

Sorry I should have been more clear. I could be wrong but you can only get the telescoping tower with the over the tower cover correct?

Standard and actuated towers can be ordered with over or under tower covers, telescoping towers are over the tower is my understanding.

That seems to make sense.... if I recall on the build sheet, there was only one option on the cover... Sounds like I'll just lower the tower, and then put the cover on, and the speakers will be covered.

Nope. I am looking at the Paragon dealer build sheet right now. You have two choices -- tower-up or tower-down.

On the G23 build sheet the 'tower down' cover option is grayed out when the telescoping tower is selected.

I have been looking for a picture of one with the tower-up cover, and I finally found one.

As you can see, the speakers are exposed with this cover. I doubt very many people order this option, but if you did, the speakers would be exposed.

Interestingly, even though this is called the tower-up cover, the tower in this picture appears to be at least most of the way down! The point is that this cover option doesn't cover the tower.

Thanks Jeff! I was working off of just the G23 build options/sheet and didnt know this was possible! Ive only ever seen over tower covers for the telescoping tower. Either way sounds like as long as OP gets an over tower cover hes good to go!

Do you guys with Paragons find the “over the tower” cover easier to put on than the prior generations, dealing with poles, going around the tower etc…
