Man I was hoping for a updated 230. Not really impressed with where the nautique line has gone, but to each their own. Can you get a different tower on the S23. I really do not like the paragon tower.

Overall, I love the boat but am sad there isn't an 'entry level' Nautique in the linup.

I just don’t see the appeal of this boat. There is just not much difference in the lines compared to the G. This eliminates the classic “traditional styling “ of the 230 which some
pwoplw prefer. Now essentially you have two G boats so close in styling you’ve be a fool not to go for the G . Don’t think the price gap difference is enough to sway buyers.
Chalk me up to the not impressed . It’s too close to the g to offer an alternative. Those rear lounge chairs look like a complete afterthought.

If it surfs as well as the G and it is $30k cheaper, than maybe it will sell. Dunno. With more freeboard less chance of water over bow, and more modern look. If your into that kind of thing.
I really enjoyed my 2008 sante 210. Clean wake at all speeds, and drove like a sports car on water. Just fund to drive, and power turn. If the wake would have been bigger I would have kept it.
That being said no newer boat owner would have a basis for comparison to the old stuff.

Perhaps the new S23 has a deeper V hull. This would allow Nautique to compete better against Cobalt and other "surf" boats that ride better in rougher water.

Yeah, just because it has a pointed bow don't make it "traditional". I'm old enough to never say never, but I think they've finally lost me. I mean where to you go now to get a traditional boat? Still hard to believe there is no 210 or 230. Maybe a used 2021 210/230 or MC xt21 or 23? I don't know...I'm bummed, but hey on the bright side I currently have a boat so hopefully I don't sound too whiny.

Wish they offered the Yanmar Diesel in it...
Still might consider this over the G23 when it's time to buy again (currently enjoying my 230). It is a tempting product slot, a little more money than the GS22, but quite a bit less than the G23, and almost the same boat weight and max ballast.

Just for giggles, check out the MC TT forum, almost 90% hate for this boat. I get that coming from that crowd, and ALOT of them are trying to compare the S23 to the XT23, not even the same game in terms of wake performance...2008 230 TE-ZR6
1999 Pro Air Python-sold and moved away :-(
