Nautique Releases New Boat - Super Air Nautique S23

I was planning on ordering a 230 when rumors started about a redesign/update of the 210/230 so I decided to wait. This is part of the reason I'm bummed. So with that said -
I really don't understand some of their design changes (probably why I don't own a boat company). I feel like they hear 'some customers still want traditional bow' and this is how they interpret it. When, in my mind, we're talking about a traditional boat not another barge. I'm ready for the $10k little giant ladder option - helps you get out and into the boat. Really hard to leave Nautique have loved their boats for a long time. And while I'm at it, hahaha does anybody use the little glass window on the glove box lid to see their phone?
I'll quit now.

Just curious if all the ballast is subfloor other then the optional stern ballast at 500 lbs

Wouldn't mind seeing if some one can comfortably recreationally ski behind it (we don't even have a course on our lake). I currently have a GS and would like something more stable, but I'm not willing to give up skiing just yet. Wonder if this could be a replacement.

Well, the trip to Texas wasn't meant to be. The person who booked the flight booked it for the wrong day, so when I got to the airport, there was no flight for me! Oh well. I'll see this new boat soon enough.

Skidave, the boat skis great and surfs great, with it being more of a ski boat, it is touchy when we are just cruising. Some one jumps from one side to the other and the boat tips, scares the entire crew gets real nervous. For those used to ski boats, not a big deal, for us, a little nerve racking. Was hoping the S23, could give us the best for cruising, skiing, and surfing, with out too much sacrifice in any one area. I know it won't ski as well, but want to see how different it is.

Well that sucks... I too am missing the regatta as my wife found out yesterday morning that she tested postive for the Rona after losing her smell/taste on Thursday.

Thanks, she's pretty much fine, nothing wrong other than no smell or taste for a few days.

Decided to get an S23 priced out at my dealer (I'm considering selling my 2020 230 for a G23) as initially it was rumoured to be just a bit more than the GS22 and less than the GS24. Can you imagine my surprise when it came out to $242K Canadian after dealer discount!!

Just to provide some perspective, the same dealer priced out my G23 for $267K Canadian with quite a few more options than on the S23. At these prices, the S23 is about $65K more than the GS22, $85K more than my 230, and just a bit less than the G23.

When I removed options from the G23 to match what was included in my S23 quote, the price difference was G23 $247K, and S23 $242K!

No brainer - G23 every day.
