I bought my 230 new for $110k in Canada 5 years ago and now your telling the replacement is $250k…. I love The Nautique fit and finish and really like our local dealer but no way I can stomach or justify going from $110k to $250k. GS is not my favourite so not sure there is any boat left in the lineup for me and my budget. Luckily the 2016 is holding up well!

Aren’t payment shoppers and 20 year financing a biatch? I never thought I’d see the day that ppl would be forking over 200k+ for a 22-23ft boat on not even blink an eye. It’s gotten out of control.

Bought my 2018 230 in Canada for a very similar price, the good news for us is they sell for $150K used now ... and probably heading higher with this new S23 pricepoint.

I get stepping on the bow tip as you get out, but you step on the bow sides? Sounds like you have a really unusual setup. I can’t picture how anyone would need to step on the bow sides that couldn’t just use the tip instead. I’d love to see a pic of your dock.

Thanks for the visual. Really a unique setup with what looks like a baseball field backstop that includes a home plate to bump in to. I still don’t get why you would choose to step to the dock from further away than the sides, but I’m sure you know what’s best for you. I love how you Florida folks frequently have such vibrant color schemes on your boats.

Jeff, Can you check the transom? Is there a cooler back there like on the G? I can't tell from the pictures. And, bow space? Are the front seats hinged? Thanks

It seems like the S23 got a lot of bad comments when it was first announced. 3 months later, what does everybody think? Did it grow on anybody? Personally, I really like the look of the boat and it throws a huge wake. I was able to test drive the green/black boat (production number 5) at my dealer. Overall, it’s a beautiful boat that’s a great surf boat but is disguised as a booze cruise/boat ride kind of boat. Its an suv of boats. I ordered one and am giving up a beautiful 230 which is also a great boat. There is no reason that I won’t love the S23. Can’t wait to get it after a long winter.

Did you order from Seager Marine? I used to live up that way, if I could order from those guys, I would have already had an order placed for an S23. Unfortunately, I moved in July 2021 and was not as pleased with the local dealer. I put a deposit on a 2022 Supra SL. Supra was 40k less than the S23 and the Supra's features are more in line with the G series. I think Nautique made a great boat with the S series, but their pricing is insane. They completely missed the boat on their pricing.

yes, from Seagers. I don’t think you can find a better dealer. See their website for my used 2021 230. As far as pricing, call them. I kept pricing down by going base motor and no tower speakers. I think the motor will be enough for what I do. Surf and booze cruise. Never have more than 5 people in the boat. I don’t like blaring speakers on other boats on the lake so I keep my music inside mine—nothing but Grateful Dead…

Unfortunately, due to dealer territories I wasn't able to work with them. If I could have made it work I would have drove the 12.5 hours to Seager to buy a boat. I don't want to say never, and I also don't want to air too much dirty laundry, but I may be done with Nautique.
