Dock mooring set up

Just bought a floating dock to use when overnighting at the bay. This is in a protected marina, but I do not want the boat to be constantly rubbing against a bumper between the boat ant the dock. I am used to 4 dock lines and a spring line, but this side of the bay is better protected. Can anyone share their set up with me please? Pictures of course speak a thousand words! Thanks!

I have a pontoon turned into a floating dock. I purchased rub rail to screw to the side of the pontoon to protect the aluminum edge from my boat. I used tapered head screws and then RTV'd over the heads. I purchased the rub rail and other dock hardware from Merco Marine.

I use the inflatable bouy balls to hang my cleats with my dock lines. The bouy balls look like these from Swell.

Get a set of whips. I used them for years with no issues before I got my current dock.

I have the Swell balls also, I rarely use them overnight since i have a lift, but this is what they look like.

Thanks for the pictures! I would love to have a lift, but I think the whips will be great! My question is: my boat is a 1999 SN which has no cleats… I was going to attach them to the lifting rings which are in the center of the boat…. That would mean I need longer whips correct? How do I know what size whips to buy?

I am using wake watchers and I am happy with the them. The only trick is placement. When attached to boat, both arms need to angle towards each at like 15 degrees. I think you could tie to lifting rings no problem.

I think mooring whips are the optimum solution for no boat damage/ultimate flexibility.

Just like Jeff's pictures, nothing works better than a set of whips. Done it with my Nautique and with much larger boats as well.
