    Flo-Fast system

Anybody using this setup to fuel their boat? I need to go down quite a few stairs and was thinking the 15 gallon setup might work with biggest tires on the cart. Thinking I would get 3 containers, so 45 gallons total.

Any feedback on going down stairs with it?

It is expensive, but I estimate it pays for itself in 10 fill ups.

I have one and use 6 of the 10.5 gallon cans. Cost about $900 when all said and done with, but it’s paid for itself in the first two months.

I debated between dual 10.5’s and the cart or the single 15 and glad I went with the 10.5’s. Loading 6 of them up in the truck and then throwing back into the truck after filling up with gas….the 10.5’s are heavy enough. If going down a. Few stairs you will be ok

Cool system. I like that a lot.

I currently use eight VP Racing 6-gallon jugs, and it is tiring to hold them as they fill the boat. I may look into getting a few of these.

They really are a great product. Can empty 10 gallons in just over a minute. Very quick fueling

Thanks for the info. I have maybe 50 stairs to go down…slow and steady maybe? There is local dealer, I am going to check it out.

Yikes. That’s going to be a chore for sure. How are you getting gas to the boat now…filling up on the water? Taking it up 50 steps (empty) would get old after awhile too…I wheel mine down through the yard and only go up/down a half step when I go on the boat dock, so I’m not sure how feasible it would be for you.

I would upgrade the wheels to pneumatic tires vs the hard rubber ones it comes with if possible? Any room for an atv to go from the dock and back?

If you are going down why not just use a bunch of hose with a valve at the end and let gravity do the work? Seems like way less effort and money…..

Are you tipping them up and holding them?! Get yourself some siphon hoses!

I bought a jiggler siphon this week and it works ok. I have metal cans and I wonder if the metal jiggler chips off paint inside the metal Jerry cans I have. Maybe a spark hazard as well??? Idk I think the flow fast is the way to go.

BIL bought the 7.5s with the pump and that has worked out well for him. I have 4 of the VP Racing cans and use the gravity feed hack to fill the boat, have been since the 80s. It takes about 2 minutes per can to transfer the gas. I have three cans in the garage right now staged and ready to go if it ever stops raining.

It’s basically down the side of a mountain. You have to take the stairs, no option to walk down otherwise, just too steep.

I was hoping the cart with the 13 inch tires might do the job. They show him going down stairs in the video, so figured it is just more of that. I thought about gravity feed, but I’ll have a bunch of gas soaked hose to deal with and not sure how I would route it to the boat.

Currently I go to marina and fill up, which works fine, except it is at the other end of the lake and it is marina gas prices, I think $4.35 last week. Currently, I lug three 5 gallon jugs by hand for the jet ski, so I thinking this might be equivalent effort, but get more gas to the dock. Then again 90 lbs of gas is a lot.

We are on a 450-acre lake with no services so we have to bring all of our own gas in so we went with the FloFast Professional system with the 15 gallon can 4 years ago and we love it.

At the time, the cart came with tires were actually inflated which makes it really easy to maneuver as I have to take our gas from the top of our property, down a relatively steep slope to our boat house, then down our dock, so the additional give in the inflated tires makes it easy to get up and down the slope. I bought an additional 15 gallon can so I always have one ready to go for any of the boats. The crank handle works extremely well, and while this system isn’t cheap it works great and has held up extremely well for the last 4 years. I’m a big fan, and would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a robust fuel delivery system who needs to transport the cans across their property.

I agree with DoubleUpDisaster, get a siphon. I have a 1" shaker siphon, and it'll drain a 6 gal VP Racing jug in 30 seconds or so. 1" is the largest (and thus fastest) siphon hose I could fit in the boat's fuel port. I've some bar stools on my dock. I'll pull one over to the boat, and set the jug on it, so I don't have to put the jug on the boat's vinyl or SeaDeck. The stool is about 6" taller than the boat's fuel port, so it sets up a really good siphon.

rwrose, I have a two wheeled cart (Tipkie 2100 Marine Cart) that'll hold 6 of those VP Racing jugs (total 36 gals). The cart might work for your steps. It has 20" BMX style bike wheels that'll roll over almost anything.

I just toss a jug up on the seadek pad on each locker hinge and let ‘er rip. Easy peasy.

Go big or go to the gas pump a lot - they sell these close to our cottage. Not sure the economics make sense, but another option!! Comes with a 200ft hose option.
