In January 2021 I placed an order for a Super Air Nautique GS22 through a local dealer in Southern VA. I put down the required deposit and was told at the time that I could expect my boat in July 21 given labor and supply chain COVID-19 related issues at the factory. Months later in April I was informed I am not getting a 2021 model and that my boat would be a 2022 model. I was ok with that, then more months later in early June I was contacted by the dealer to confirm my build specs and sign off on the build, which I did. Now more months later, as we enter 9 months into this saga, I cannot be provided a build or delivery date. Is this typical? I'm beyond frustrated to have missed the entire boating season.

Anyone order a new G23 lately? I put a deposit on one this past Friday. Dealer said he would get back to me with a build time in about a week, just curious what others are seeing.
thanks!

Update: my boat got pushed to December as of august. Today I received this email ; I just received this email from Nautique. Let me know your thoughts.
“Tungsten Grey
We are still having challenges with Tungsten Grey and we are not scheduling any orders with Tungsten Grey selected. Although we are still working hard to come up with a solution for this color, I am not confident that we will have a timely resolution. I highly recommend talking through this with all of your customers that have Tungsten selected and encourage them to come up with a colorway that they like that does not include Tungsten Grey. This will ensure a more timely delivery. If you have an order in the system that you change away from tungsten please email me and let me know so I can inform production they can schedule the order.”
Im so frustrated with the whole process.....spend 220k on a boat and they can't produce the product they offer. Now we're faced with waiting and crossing our fingers or changing the whole boat around. I whole heartedly dislike the haze grey interior gel coat, white doesn't exactly make me happy. SO I HAVE A DECISION TO MAKE. Change it, cancel it or start making a real stink about it. Mind you I ordered in January and could have had my boat this season if I had to change the colors. This is Nautique dropping the ball through and through. What do you think we should be asking for/ what would you do
- sincerely,
the most frustrating boat order ever.

It is not "typical" in the sense that this is how it normally works, but this year and last are atypical years with all the supply chain issues (that are getting worse not better).Last edited by jjackkrash; 08-31-2021, 11:47 PM.

Yeah, that is brutal but I’ve found and that ordering in January is late in any year, supply chain issues or not. I hope you get your
’22 and it’s worth the wait!
I agree that not getting reliable information is lame, bad news doesn’t get better with age. My only advice would be to reach out directly to Nautique customer service and bypass the dealer.

As a general contractor I can tell you about daily struggles with basic materials and parts. Glazing, AC components, Appliances, Case and millwork, and nothing for any specialty items for commercial work. It goes on and on. Confirmed delivery dates for items orders many months in advance do not materialize. It does not surprise me in any way that something like a boat has more supply issues.

Curious if others are experiencing the same wait times. I ordered a 2022 G 23 in June of this year and no word at all from dealer or manufacturer. Anyone else order one this summer and have you been told anything about delivery times? thanks!

Just my .02
For the price of these boats, if there is not a good estimate or thought that there could be a long delay, then the dealer/manufacturer should be up front about that. Not sure if you signed something that had fine print like that, but if they told me around 6 months and it was 9 months later and they couldn't give me any idea of a time, I would be a little upset.
Best of luck and hope you get it soon!

Yeah well, if I can’t get information I think it’s ok to continue asking. I am saying a note to Nautique can be very helpful…that are dang good at getting back and providing information. This one seems like a really long time to lack any clarity.
