I agree, Nautique doesn't make a boat for me anymore. As Reagan once said ' I'm not walking away from them, they walked away from me'. I will either be looking for a 2021 210 or XT21. Also going to check out the new malibu 21 LX. Never a malibu fan, but that new boat 'looks' more like boat in my opinion. Just been in a Nautique so long, I'm concerned it's gonna feel 'cheap'....but I'm gonna find out.

I think all of the boat companies have customers lining up. I see posts across facebook and other forums "this is my first boat...". I think many of these first time buyers are jumping on the wakesurfing trend and Covid accelerated boat buyers. Also, as noted above I agree that the longer financing terms are driving prices up. I mentioned this on other forums as well.

I looked at the S21 & S23 on the website, reviewed the specs. Both of the S models have more ballast than the G21 and G23? Or maybe the S's are just listed as "Max capacity" The other curious item is fuel capacity is the same for both the S models at 65 gallons, whereas the G21 is 46 gallons. That seems odd to me. The S model looks are growing on me, but, the pricing sure makes it seem like the G models are the way to go.

I was able to demo the S23, more than enough wake and surf wave for me. It did have the supplemental ballast which is 500lbs+the 2650 stock. I priced S21 and S23 on the builder and the difference is about 10k. I am not lake restricted to I will probably go with the S23 because it has the starboard lean back seat and a little extra room. It does weigh a bit more, but at 5500 still slightly less than a G21. I have a tundra and will be storing a few miles from the ramp so I think I will be ok with short towing. I'm actually working on a build and pricing with dealer. I will post updates once my build is scheduled.
FWIW The dealer said one of his buddies actually slalomed the S, I think he said in the 30mph range. He said his buddy described the wake as 'a big bump. but flat'. So maybe a recreational skier could do a few free skiing sets just to have some fun. Nothing serious skiing wise I would think though.

I was planning to just keep my 2019 until I surfed a 2021 G23. It's a huge difference. Wildly improved over the previous G23s.
