    bturner, I will use my trailer very similar to as you describe, a few 3 hour pulls on the expressway each year for winter storage, but the rest of the time just short trips and being able to move the singe axle trailer around in the garage is a big advantage.
    Keeping the trailer indoors in the off season would be a real plus and getting the weight off of the tires is very helpful.

      Have had 3 single Axle trailers on a Ski Nautique, 206, and now a 200, no issues on any. Totally agree with the trailer maintenance comments, and that is easier on a single axle than double.

        I love how my dual axle pulls, but twice the maintenance does suck. I hate doing my bearings, and two axles means doubling the job. I still do it every fall, but I hate it.

        I think if you're on top of maintenance and set it up properly, a single axle would be great for that boat.
