The pricing of the S23 makes no sense to me

Was that the MSRP or the dealer quote you are referring to?

Also, I see you are on Keowee, I am over on Lake Murray. I did an S23 demo over on Keowee last month, really liked the boat. Hope you enjoy it!

I was wondering the same thing. My comparison was MSRP. I can't predict what kind of discount various dealers may offer.

I know most of the people on my lake in SC with mostly new Nautiques - none of them have loans on their boats, they were/are cash buyer's. Cash is becoming worthless - market returns have been very good over the last couple years and costs have gone up. Look at the housing market...

If/when the housing market crashes then will new boat prices plummet as well? Doubtful, I understand this is a hypothetical question at this point. I guess if that happens we will see what happens with boat prices, and if that was a fair comparison to make between boat and housing markets.

I think the S23 (and S21) will be a huge hit. I’ve been lucky enough to demo one and check it out thoroughly. It’s a little less expensive but it appears to throw a huge wake. It can pass for a normal looking boat and not just a surf boat. It’s got a lot more comfort than a 230. The bow looks great which is personal opinion. It’s a mean look, especially in a dark color. Overall, the entirely new design will make it a desirable boat for many years to come. I ordered one..moving from a 230 which is also a great boat. I’m going with white which tames the meanest of the boat. I’m going stock motor which I think is going to be ok with full tanks up to 12 mph and fine for empty tanks performance rides and booze cruises.

Congrats on the boat! Post some pictures when you get it. Are you on Canandaigua? Do you go to any of the other lakes? My wife and I lived in Elmira from 2015-2019. Loved the finger lakes, and miss Seager Marine.

Yes, I live on Canandaigua lake and the boat stays in a permanent hoist. I’m looking white/white with a black bottom. Tan and black interior. I have never travelled to other lakes but it’s discussed every year! I have been known to travel for sailboat regattas though.

Mine is ready for delivery. Probably boat #1 in the SE US. Definitely first delivery for Watersports Central, if I can get down to have it delivered. I was about to order a G when the S was announced. I ordered the ZZ6 motor and upgraded the tower to get weight comparable to a G. The power tower on first glance sounds ridiculous, but when you factor in the cost of the racks, the Bimini, the speakers, and the fact that it weighs over 1000# and so the supplemental balast is unnecessary too, it becomes a little less insane.

Less insane is a good thing. Still insane but not as much! Haha. I wonder if the weight of that kicked you up to a triple axle trailer? Nice looking boat. congrats.

I’m thinking that is just what the dealer had on hand…it’s their trailer. This boat is going on the lift and staying there.
