If I had to choose between heated seats and the heater I would take the heated seats. I've had marginal success with the heaters in the past. The seats in my friends MC X2 won't set you on fire but the do warm the seat.

I never knew heated seats were a thing in boats until I went to order mine last year. I got them on a recommendation and I'm glad we did. They were very useful for the wife early in the season and we are about the find out how useful they will be in the latter part. I would get them again.
I did not get a heater and I thought that might be a bad move. Based on some of the feedback here, it doesn't appear to be the case.

I have both heated seats (driver and spotter) and the heater on my 2021 G23. The heated seats work really well, and get used often in the early and end of season. The heater works good, but my only complaint is port location. I wish they had one of the 3 ports on the port side of the boat. Agree on the boat blanket, we carry 2 on the boat in fall.

I've been thinking about adding a heater to our boat. I'd go with the 400 series instead of the 300 series, which would give an additional port. I've also heard putting a recirculating pump makes it work much better since you don't need to be at high rpms to produce more heat. Has anyone added their own?
