FCC stands for fuel control cell. Basically a low pressure fuel pump pumps fuel into the FCC and a high pressure pump inside the FCC pumps fuel into the fuel rail. It’s a tall canister that looks sort of like an oil filter or strainer. Older ones unscrew but it’s metal on metal and corrosion builds up over time and kind of welds the canister to the housing. Particularly stubborn ones can be taken off using a vice on a bench. Newer ones use a band clamp and are way easier to pull apart. Inside that FCC canister is a filter that should be replaced I think every 100hrs. There’s a rubber tube that goes from the housing into the middle of the filter. It has a tendency to break.
