I just noticed the Pebble watch app is no longer on my phone and I went to synch one of my Pebble watches to my iPhone and was unable to do so through the Rebble third party provided, who took over the Pebble app after Pebble went out of business. Upon further research online, it appears in order to receive this app you have to pay a subscription fee of $3.00 month or $33.00 a year. Has anyone been able to bypass this fee in order to synch your Pebble watch to your phone? Hope you can elaborate Charles charlesml3

I just looked on my phone and the Pebble app still opens and the NSS app is still there. It looks like I could refresh a watch this way but I don't have any here. They're all at the lake.
I did go to rebble.io from my PC and once I logged it, I was prompted for the monthly fee. It looks like the $3/month is for the entire rebble site, not just a specific fee for the NSS app.
I'll be back at the lake in a couple of days. When I get there I'll see if I can still sync a watch.

Yeah something has definitely changed. I go to the Rebble site as well to try to synch my watch and my phone recognizes the Pebble watch but it never synchs with it.
I have that old Pebble 2 watch which was one of those Pebble watches which never functioned with the NSS therefore I just use it as a secondary watch. I was just trying to update the time on it since I had not used it in 4 months but no luck synching with my phone.

I just reset one of mine back to factory defaults and let it do the upgrade through the phone app and install the NSS app as well. It went just fine.
I do see on rebblie.io that there is now a $3/month fee to use their servers but apparently I already have what I need on my phone. I figure as long as I don't delete it I should be good to go.

Thanks Charles . I did the factory reset and used the Pebble app on my phone and all software uploaded fine even the NSS software although Pebble 2 watches will not function with NSS ; the software is on my Pebble again . I refreshed both Pebble TIme watches again which will function with NSS once surf season starts .
For now I will use my Pebble 2 during my off season exercise routine.
