I am looking to install an under-platform ladder on an 05 SV-211 with a fiberglass swim platform. I plan to remove the original black decking material from the platform to drill mounting holes for flush mount bolts and then recover with SeaDeck or similar foam decking material. Has anyone done this on a similar platform? Any recommendations on a good quality ladder? Does the rounded platform cause any installation issues? Any tips or pictures for this project are greatly appreciated.

If you install the stock ladder, you won't have to through-bolt it, and it'll be a much cleaner installation. This one just bolts to the underside of the stock platform.

Thank you Jeff. I didn't know there was a stock ladder for an older Nautique. Also , I didn't think the fiberglass platform was thick enough for lag bolts just on the underside. My boat is currently in storage so I can't examine the deck. I was hoping for a spring loaded 3 step unit. A lot of them are out of stock now. I would not consider a cheap one from Amazon. I'llcall NautiqueParts and find out the story on these. Thanks again.

After some more online research, it seems Nautique uses the Garelick 19643 under platform ladders. They are currently out of stock everywhere but some retailers say they will be available for shipment in the Spring. I plan to order one when available. Does anyone know what size lag bolts can be used to fasten it to the underside without the risk of going through the top of the platform?. Thank you.

Back to the ladder topic...
I've been holding off on under platform ladder for the same year / model because it wasn't clear that the mounting would work for the platform. On the underside of the platform, there is a half-inch lip all the way around the edge (see picture attached) The mounting would need to allow for that lip so the ladder could pull out. Others can confirm the ladder mounting works for this platform?
(Thanks to all for the great info in this community!)

I needed a ladder also, but i did not want to be confused with a rental boat and leave the ladder down and cruise down the river. You will do it or someone on the boat will do it. I found a self retracting ladder that mounted underneath the platform. same type of ladder on the back of a Waverunner/jetski. I pulled up the black non-skid in 15 minutes. 1 hour of acetone and alcohol to get the glue off. I mounted on passenger side but realized it would interfere with a FAE when installed. I then re-worked to the starboard side. I predrilled the holes, removed the immediate foam core, filler with epoxy, then predrilled and countersunk for thru bolt. after a swim in late October I was satisfied and finished the platform with new SeaDek.

Thanks all for your feedback. My boat is away in storage now so the pictures of under the platform are helpful. Screwpusher, I do like your setup. The self-retracting feature sounds nice. How did you countersink the bolt on the top of the platform?
I would like to mount a ladder in the center, if possible, to avoid any potential disruption of the wake. This SeaLux unit looks like it can straddle the center platform bracket based on the photos and without measuring. Does anyone have any experience with this model?

The Aqua Performance would interfere with the center platform bracket if mounted in the middle. Under way (surfing or skiing) these is 8-12 inches of clearance from the bottom of the boat so it does not affect wake/performance.
To drill the holes I aligned all 6 holes then drilled top to bottom. Removed the foam between the top and bottom thru teh 1/4 inch hole (about 3/4 inch inner area), then filled with epoxy. Once dry, I re-drilled and used a countersink versus a larger bit to just get the flat head 1/4-20 screw flush but still engaged with the top fiberglass of the platform..

Hey everyone,
I am closing the loop on this thread I initiated a while back. We ended up installing the SeaLux undermount platform that allows for installing in the center without interfering with the center bracket. We also used this as an opportunity to upgrade the platform to AquaMarine decking. While we were at it, we did the entire boat! I told the wife it would be good to do it now so the platform and boat flooring would be a perfect matchThe ladder works nicely. We are happy with the results. The AquaMarine deck is an awesome upgrade. The only thing about the center mount is that the wife asked about a grab handle. I told her they were on the sides!
Thanks everyone for sharing information. It was very helpful.
