    Shopping for a G23

After years of beating up my body, shoulder surgery, and thowing out my back, I am looking at trading my SN 200 for a G23 to surf a lot and wakeboard a little.

I have have seen 3 pre-owned G23s in my area all from dealers. A 2018, 2019, and a 2021. My question is what is the differences between them.

I noticed the 21 has the seats at the platform. Is that a plus?

    Thanks for any input

2021 if you can afford it. Has the severely updated hull design and nss plates for a much better surf wave. Everything else is smaller updates through out the years.

I agree, the 21 is much better from a surf standpoint and likes additional weight. With 500 pounds of lead you won’t want to ride behind anything else, it’s that good.

Coming from a direct drive, I did my own basic maintenance, oil, impeller, and winterize. Considering maintenance, which engine should I stay away from? I believe all of the 3 I'm looking at have the 450 hp engine

All the new engines are very easy to work. Say for maybe the diesel.

None to really "stay away from" but don't take the 550HP supercharged engine unless you have a very specific need. It's high-octane fuel only and it burns a LOT of it.

If the 21 is only 2k more it’s a no brainer.
