S23 Ride?

I'm in the Northern Chesapeake Bay and it can get rough. Affects me on the way to protected waters for surfing. Has anyone had the S23 out in choppy water? My '18 SAN 230 has a rough ride in the chop. Not sure if there were significant hull changes which may improve the ride in the S23. My dealer, who no longer sells Nautique, put me in a Malibu 23 LSV. I was impressed by the ride in rough water and the surf wave.
Still love Nautique though so it would be a hard decision to change brands.

Have a '22 S23 and have had it out a couple times in rough waters with no issues. Ride is smooth and the hull is tall enough to not take on a bunch of splash. Love my Nautique.
