    putting it on the trailer?....

in the past, i've never had a problem. used to put the '01 and the '03 196s on the trailers (both tandem axle Ram Lin) by leaving the front trailer fender corners about 1 inch out of the water.

tried this again last weekend, and the boat would go on the trailer, but the bow was WAY below the bow stop (drive in, V-stop). I put the trailer in more, and then I lost the bunks to the depth...

Am I way out of practice, or did I encounter the steepest ramp that I've come across to date?

Try pulling it out of the water, that way the boat will ride up the bunks and lift the bow.

i did try that first, and either I went too far, or my dad did not give it enough go juice to get it up the bunks. I say it was the latter

      thanks

On steep/deep ramps...try hooking the strap to the bow eye and crank the boat against the V stop. As you pull it out the boat will drop down to the bunks everytime and it will slightly back off the V stop enough to slip the boat cover on.

we have the same problem on the lakes around our place. they dig the ramps really steep. We have to do what darrel409 suggests. We have a 211te on a twin axle eagle trailer. Ive seen the 07 on the new tailer and i want to switch. my boat sits way higher.
