    Thinking about a 211.

I need a crossover boat for both skiing and wakeboarding, and the 211 seems like a great choice (the other one I'm really considering is the MC X1, but the X1 seems like it's kind of a stripper boat wihtout all the nice toys the 211 has).

How is the wake for surfing? I've read that CC changed the prop rotation for these boats in 2005? and that changed the wake. I would like a good wake for the port side (normal footed surfing as opposed to learning how to surf goofy foot.

Is the wake good enough for surfing port, or does the prop rotation force starboard surfing?

I've heard that the 211 surfs good on both sides if weighted properly. I test drove the 211 about a year ago and wake boarded and slalomed behind it. Very good in both of those areas. At the time, I owned a Tige 22V which is also a good choice if you want decent performance for wake boarding and skiing. The surf wake behind the Tige was also very good. With that said, the 211 is a nicer boat overall. I just was ready to buy one until.....

I ended up with the 220. The surf wake is great on both sides of the boat with stock ballast and a few people. The wake boarding wake is very solid. I have not slalomed behind it, so I cannot comment on it. My guess is that it will be similar to my Tige. Sorry I cannot comment on the MC.

The new boat sets up better for port surfing. But you can surf both sides. Search for clubmyke's pitcures of his wave.

the port siide is still very good, but the barrel length is less... btw, the new walzer surfboards are amazing..

have an 06 211 te, we surf both sides. starbord is better with no extra set up but we,ve dialed in the port. Add a 1234 prop from acme for stellar results.

We surf both sides of my 211. I run full ballast and just move the passengers from one side to the other, still trying to master the surf to the other side maneuver without the rope but no success so far, getting closer though.

I also ski, board, and foot. The 211 is hard to beat.
