Does anyone know if these towers are exact OEM for a Flight Control Tower..i.e., could you directly replace a damaged tower for a 2002 SAN with one of these towers?
Wayne has blueprints for most of CC towers. The good things is that he actually pays them the royalty fee unlike most other companies. I purchased a tower from him for my old 2001 model year nautique and it was right on. His tower is very high quality and I was very happy with the work.
My tower on my 99 super sport is a little different than a factory fct. It is much better in every way. I believe my back legs are around 2 inches further back than the factory tower. My bimin.com bimini fit perfect using the factory dimensions however... Talk with Wayne, he knows what he is talking about.

ffmedic,
I have no doubt Wayne pays the patent fees, as he must. I think his towers look great as well.
Just wondering on what basis you make the statement that most others don't pay the fees. Correct Craft owns a fairly black and white patent on wakeboard towers. From what I hear, the royalties on the patents are very lucrative for CC. Why do you believe other companies are not paying? If one is legitimately in the tower business, it would be very difficult to avoid paying these fees. It's really not hard for CC to track you down. Penalties for patent violations include fines, restitition, and possible jail time, as well as paying the money you owe. BKH
From what I was reading into the post, he means they actually pay correct craft royalties to use the blueprints for their older version of the tower? Maybe so it's an exact fit..
From what I know he pays royalty fees, not sure about actual blueprint fees. I heard rumor that the fees are 10%. If you have looked on the internet much, I am sure you have seen many fly by night companies out there making towers. I am sure there are quite a few that do not pay the royalty fees. I think CC has even went after a couple of these based on an article I read on the internet. This was probably just to make a point. Patent lawsuits take quite a long time to work through the court system and cost lots of $$$ in time and legal/court fees. The point of the comment was to show that I think Wayne has a good company, doing the correct thing (paying royalty fees) and doing good at growing his business.

No argument on that point. I've never read any negatives about the new dimension product, or company. BKH
Their shop is just a few miles from me, I see their towers headed to various boat companies all the time. They were taking a bunch of towers to the Bryant plant last time I saw them.
Looking at the towers makes me glad I dont need one.
