RE: Re: Why would anyone buy an 07 210 over a 220

I would buy a 210 over a 220 anyday. My current boat hasn't been taken to the lake for anything other than a wake trip but twice this year...and wakeboarding was still done those two days. If I can get the SAN i am looking at, it will be pretty much the same deal. I may change my tune in 10-15 years when I don't wakeboard as much, but for now...

what about the 196 lines redelf?? wakeboard is a whole other market. i think it needs to be more innovative in looks and layouts and such versus the direct drive boats.

        SN,
Maybe I should have included the 96 too, but I think the stern seems to round out a little more than the 206/216. Maybe I'm wrong and need to see them side by side.

I don't disagree about the interior needing more room or more innovating desing, in fact, I applaud and admire what the have done there. I never liked the Euro sterns of the ninties or the rounded 2000's. I wish I had the photoshop skills to show what I mean...

yeah another yuppie boat Ill keep what i got dont need a boat that looks like a I/O it may say nautique but doesnt deserve the respect. Correct Craft needs to fire the design team in stead of the upper management all the time.

looks nice but CC have an uphill battle if they think that boat will help them outsell MC and Malibu. the euro transom was my fav part of the nautique design. the back of all their new boats look like blobs, with no style. yep someone from that design team needs to go, cos they have potential

I love the classic look of the front end and the windscreen... screams Nautique to me, same as the defined edges of the deck... Tower is great & I think it suits it way more than the 06 tower suited the 06 210

The rear is always going to be a love hate thing... for me I really don't mind... it looks like the freeboard is much higher than previous model & a lot of kids & other smaller statured people just won't be able to sit on the top of the sun deck & comnfortably be able to put their board on... I know there will be a lot of arguments against this, but everyone has a different way of putting their gear on.

The hull is totally different to the 220 despite the addition of the hydrogate & is meant to be way more aggressive leaving the 210 wake heritage in tact (or so I am told), so despite only a slight percentage difference in internal space, people wanting the steep wake will buy the 210, while those wanting the rampier & wider wake of the 220 have that option.

I rode an 07 220 yesterday after riding an 06 210 & it took me a little bit of getting used to, but really enjoyed the ramp & was able to take on some tricks I wouldn't dare behind the 210 (mind you my ability is pretty limtied).

All in all I like it a lot & so do most of our customers, so it is a good thing... as long as it retains a the CC build quality it will sell well

I don't think it looks that bad. I was a bit sceptic, but I like the looks from just this picture.
As what GCN said, I don't think the rear is easy for smaller people. But I never tried it on the 220/236, so I have to try it. I've a pretty possitive feeling about this 2007 210...

CC totally ignored the "Form follows Function" factor. Too bad :-(

I actually think CC does design their boats to the tune of form follows function. If I had to pick between the stern of the 0ld 210 and this stepped version, I'd go with the 07. If their going to rais the freeboard, then the steps seem to make sence. But I can't understnd why they omitted the 211 walkaround or the 236 walkover... :???:

Anyone else notice from the picture that the lift eyes in the back are gone? Hidden? The swimplatfom looks like it's nearly flush with the transom. A welcome change for those of you who have ever had their foot slip into one of the gaps between the platform and hull where the lift eyes are.

Also, the ballast drain holes. I thought the new rave was moving them to the bottom of the boat (ala mastercraft). Is there really any advantage to having them pump down and out instead of up and out? Besides a cleaner looking hull (of course the overflow will still be necessary on the side hull)?

I don't know who's narrow a$$ they expect will fit in the steps on the transom. Looks more cumbersom for putting a board on to me. My 2¢

Looking forward to seeing the interior pics as well.
