    SV 211 vs Super Air 210 (04-07)

Hey Everyone love some feedback from you on these two boat options...Family is looking to upgrade from our 03 Air Nautique 206 direct drive to a V drive with only the SV 211 or the Super Air 210 as options (dock regulations). Our preference in water sports are ranked 1) Wakeboard 2) Surf 3)Tube 4) Slalom and going for a drive and tieing up with friends. Our skills levels are intermediate at best. Our lake is quite large and can have some decent wind rack up midday to night so we mainly head out early to get the glass. I have read some previous forums on similar questions...we have two young kids 4/6 that are just tubing but looking to learn everything soon. Thanks for your thoughts and time

    Both are great boats.

You'll get a better wakeboard wake out of the 210.

Neither of those will surf great. The hulls just aren't designed for it. You'll have to use a portable surf gate on either boat to get any sort of a good wave.

Either one will be fine for tubing.

The 211 will be better for slalom, and will have a hydro-gate for controlling the shape of the wake.

The 211 might also be a slightly better tie-up boat just due to the walk-through at the rear.

So, there you go. Now your choice is.......um......still pretty tough.

      Thanks Jeff
I think either will be fantastic..having the open space instead of the mid engine will be key...we have added a little weight to the 206 with a surf gate and are able to have some fun so either v-drive will be that much greater. The walk-thru appeals to me with the young kiddos. Will just have to try out both perhaps

I have no experience with the 210, but I have an '07 SV211. I don't wakeboard, and my son is just getting started, so I can't comment on the wakeboard aspect. My whole family skis. Over 30 mph, the wake is pretty manageable--not a direct drive, but it's not bad. My kids are 8 and 10, and the wake is a bit daunting for them in the low to mid 20s. We surf quite a bit. No, it's not a G-series boat, but for a 15-year old crossover hull, I'm happy with it. You will need upgraded ballast and a suction wake shaper. We don't tube often, but it does fine.
I really like the full walk-through. It looks a little odd at first, but it's super functional.
Mine is my first Nautique and first inboard, and I've been very happy with it. My BIL has a similar vintage Mastercraft X10, and I like my boat quite a bit more. I don't think you can go wrong with either the 210 or 211. See what you can find. Good luck!

With your emphasis on wake sports 210 all day long. Especially with wakeboarding on top at 1 ,

          if you had slalom , wake , surf , I’d say 211.

is there a reason the 07- up 210 won’t fit your specs. It’s stil a 21ft boat ? Because that really is the sweet spot for what you want. Exceptional wakeboard wake , exceptional surf wake for 21ft boat , and respectable slalom

I know Jeff has a G23 so I am sure the wakes are not comparable but I think that the 211 gets a bad rap for its wake surf wake. With a wake shaper mine did just fine with stock ballast. Didnt have any complaints nor did I have anyone complain. I loved my 211. It felt a little bit more modern than the 210 of the same year but they are both icons and I dont think you would be displeased with either. I skiied the slalom course with my 211 occasionally.

Right on thanks guys all great info.. Swat I wish we could Get into a newer model 210 but it is a tad bit longer than the older 210 and I have a modified swim platform to keep everything under our regulation max size. Appreciate the insight

                Copy that.

in a game of exact inches that’s definitely going to knock that out.

have you thought about a 2006 to present Mastercraft X2 (20ft boat ) ? Gives you the space wakes , and shortened length you require It’s an MC instead of a Nautique so there’s that. …….. However tremendous storage and space , wakes are good , hull handles chop better than the model 210 you’re eyeing up.

I almost bought an '08 X2 before I bought my 211. Had I been a little quicker, I would be on a different forum right now. Very nice boat.

haha I am not sure I can go away from Correct Craft...funny tho I have let my wife read the thread thoughts and she thinks we should try and modify a swim platform slightly again and go for the 2008 and newer SANTE 210
