I am considering a used G25, wakeboard 80% of the time. Consensus on here seems to be that the G23 wakeboard wake is significantly better with more pop. Boat will have the 550, if I weight it down enough can I achieve the same wake as a G23? I realize gas stops will be more frequent but is it possible to get that same wake if I don’t mind sacrificing storage space? Moving up from a Moomba XLV. Thanks in advance

Having 4 G25s I can tell you the wakeboard wake is more than enough without any additional weight and still has good pop. In fact, if you wakeboard more often than surf I think you’re smart in buying an older model. I don’t feel the wake is much better in the 21 and newer than in the 20 and older hull designs. That's a question that depends too much on personal preference. Go ride both and decide for yourself. It's too big of an investment not to check it out yourself and make sure you're happy with the choice.Comment

Shape is different. Comparing the generation 1 and 2 Gs, G21 has the best lip. G25 is big but rounder. G23 is in between.Comment

I too found that my 2019 G25 doesn't need any weight for a great wake. I do have about 800lbs of lead in the boat spread throughout, but I don't fill the tanks at allComment
