There will be no biting, debating or explaining. Roughly 50 of your 53 post since you joined August 29th have been negative.
It strikes me as just plain odd that someone who clearly doesn't like Correct Craft would particpate on a CC discussion board. If you like Tige so much then here ya go!

RE: Mr Negative
I have owned several Ski Nautiques ('87,'88,'89,'92,'97,'98,'02) and 216 (Sport -'98,'99) and a 2004 SV-211 (current boat is 1999 Super Sport).
If you want to run a slalom course, you won't find a 211 in it. I think it would be impossible to run a course with a 211. I would love to see the video of someone running it if it has been done. However, for family entertainment, a 211 is awesome. It does a lot more than any other single boat I have owned.
Looking at your photos Mikeski, you have very good form approaching the wake, however the wake is causing you to loose your form going through it. This is the problem I have experienced. However, if someone does not want to cut all the way through the wake, then the 211 will satisfy your skiing needs.
When I cut through the 211 wake like I do on a 196, I end up almost jumping it.
Every one has their own requirements, so just try it and see what is best for you.

I have driven for Mikeski through the course in his 211. 34mph, 22 or 28 off (I can't remember) , 4 people in the boat, and a whole bunch of gear. He made it with no problem, multiple passes. BKH2001 Super Air

RE: Mr Negative
That is fantastic to hear Mikeski can run the course with the 211. I guess we are lazy or spoiled to the 196.

Nautiqueman, 196 is the best. I've owned one, and Mikeski and his family have owned about 10. Obviously, the 211 is not a competition type course boat. My only point is that if you have the skills, you can still have some fun in the course with the 211. BKH2001 Super Air

RE: Mr Negative
Thanks for the encouraging words guys.
Keep in mind I learned to ski the course behind a 1974 Ski Nautique, the wake was almost as tall as me at that time. We were on the promo team from 1974 to 1984 getting a new boat every year, kept the 1984 for 15 years then got a 1995, and now the 211. I was running 300-500lbs of solid weight in the back of the 1995 SN before I sold it and I don't find the 211 to be any worse to ski behind the pre-tsc SN with weight (1994-1997).
These days the mind knows how to run 32off but the body can only muster 28off after a few tries. It's kind of interesting, when I get to the course I completely forget what I am skiing behind because I'm usually getting mad at myself for being lazy out of a turn or skiing flat into a bouy. On the first 211 voyage through the course a buddy from Florida was driving, his driving was equally as rusty as my course skills. I got really deep at 5 ball and decided I was not giving up. I quickly discovered that with the pylon so far back that it's easy to pull the 211 around, I actually pulled the prop over the gate ball and popped the bouy (at least that's my driver's story and he's sticking to it).
The 211 will do the course if you are a shortline skier, if you are still working on slower speeds you don't need the handicap.
The looks I get when I pull up to the slalom dock with my 211 loaded with wakeboards, surfboards, and speakers hanging off the tower is priceless.

I agree with you Texas88, So this is a first for Texas- where bigger is better, just not with Slalom Wakes...
Again, kudos to MIKESKI for running the course, you deserve the looks at the dock when finished!!

I had an 89 2001 and the slalom wake on it was worse than the 211. It is softer on the 211 vs. the 2001, about the same size. If you empty the 211 out and focus on just skiing it is a decent wake. I also spent time at a school behind the 196 and it is ALOT easier behind an exclusive ski boat. If you are just skiing for fun I think the boat is great, if you are skiing for competition then I think you should buy a competition ski boat. I also think Mikeski can rip it.

Thanks everyone for your pictures. They're great. If you have other photos, keep them coming. Even if they are photos of people behind other crossover boats made by Tige, MC, or Malibu, that's fine too. And any other surfing pics behind the 211 would be great too!
Thanks.
Donnieb
P.S. I also think Mikeski can rip it.
