    Winter Storage (Shrink Wrapping)

Hi everybody, does anyone know how to shrink wrap for winter. How high should I tent it. What size wrap is best, 6,7 or 8 mil.? Where do I start to shrink, from the top or from the bottom?(no jokes please))

I have a 2000 SNOB (try to attach picture)

    Thanks
    Miles.

I have no idea, but I know you need to vent it properly or you're more likely to get mildew stains. I suppose a dealer will chime in and give you the info you;re looking for.

Toss some charcoal in bucket in there to absorb moisture and some dryer sheets for a nice scent in spring. Obviously 8 mil is better, but I can't advise on which to use. I am pretty sure you should shrink it around the hull first, that way it will stay put while you do the rest. Tent it so the slope is atleast 45 degrees.

      or ask a dealer.
      I don\'t care.

Sorry that I can't comment on the thickeness of the shrink warp, but I also use some mint scented cotton balls to keep mice out over the winter (in addition to the dryer sheets), which has worked great for me over the years with various boats.

Start at the bottom and work up. Make sure you have several retaining straps going under the hull from the hem strap so that it keeps it from shrinking up the sides. If you have heavy snow, tent it so it has about a 45 degree angle to shed. Charcoal in the bucket and dryer sheets are good or any other de-humidifing products will work. Just make sure they go in before you wrap and that the interior is dry. Also, use the hottest heat gun you can get (propane best) to make the shrinking easier, otherwise you can be there for HOURS!

Note: Make sure you get the UV resitive if outside. Hate to have it breakup just before spring and fill with water.
