When I get back we are going to plug her up and try to synthesize the v-drive with the appropriate weight to see if it's possible. Location will be very important and if it has to go to far to the for than it might not be worth all of the space it takes up. If need be, permanent ballast could be placed close to the nose which meanse the boat would draw more water and the swim platform might look funny so high up. Speaking of which, I put my SS platform behind my '85 transom and thought that it could actually look pretty good back there on this project, will have to inspect closer but just a thought.

The guys at white lake are great. You do know they are one of the main advertisments on this site. Heck maybe you can still get that 10% PN discount from them Yellow_Flash_Colorz: .

Motor cover if you are looking for one. It says pickup only though.

Hopefully if the v-drive works out I won't need the cover but thanks for looking out. I think that's the cover from the same boat I just bought too.

I just parted with my 82 2001 rebuild project, and have been in your shoes, a couple of times. The stringers will be the toughest part of the job, make sure to use composite material. Cutting the old floor away is a pain also. Reassembling everything else is very easy, and you get the opportunity to make cool mods as you go..

            Looks like a cool project..

Just got back to Boston tonight after a lot of driving and a stop in D.C. Definately looking forward to get started on the boat next weekend and will post updates on the progress. I've been looking into the composite material because it's in my '85 right now so I'll definately be making sure I get everything right on this boat, down to the stringers.
