I bought a steering cable a few weeks ago from NautiqueParts that falls within this notice.

I have reached out to Dometic to see what the process is for replacement. Luckily I have not installed the cable yet.

Dometic just responded. They asked for my contact and shipping information, and proof of purchase. I assume they will be sending me a new cable.

I recently installed mine, hopefully I can see the code without removing it.

That's a big deal, I wonder how many of those went out?
Do you have to access the cable for the date reference, or is it printed on the receipt's that we all methodically save for years on end with no apparent reason?

The code is about 4' up from the end that connects to the rudder.

I’ve had mine sitting in its box for about 3 months. I Guess procrastinating pays off and I won’t have to do it twice. It’s definitely one of those projects I’m not looking forward to.

We'll, is seems my code is hidden beneath the floorboard. I'm going to try a borescope otherwise I'm going to have to pull it out.

Jeff have you gotten an update on yours? I got a response today that my replacement is waiting for manufacture. Not exactly what I was wanting to hear.

That's not good news. Your still ahead of me, after submitting my model and information I was told mine was “OEM” and that someone at Dometic will be in touch soon. That was over a week ago and no word.

After repeatedly e-mailing them, I FINALLY got my replacement cable today, TWO MONTHS after requesting it. It showed up without notice that it had even been sent.
