I have just purchased a 1978 Ski Nautique that needs new decals to replace the ones adorning each rear side of the boat. These are the three just aft of the Correct Craft insignia. Can someone please tell me the best place to locate these decals? Also, what is the best product to bring life back to the teak swim platform?

Teak platform cleaning
The platform, What is on it now? Was it painted, or sealed? There are several Teak cleaners on the market, ranging from very mild to fairly caustic. It might even be necessary to sand the platform. If your platform was not painted or sealed and is in fairly good shape, use a stiff nylon bristle brush on it, wet, with lots of elbow grease. Scrub until you no longed get a grey residue coming off it. If that does not work, a one part, or one step, teak cleaner can be used next, again with the brush. Wear old clothes, rubber gloves, and eye protection with this stuff, it is usually caustic, or acidic. Take the platform off the boat. If that was not satisfactory, use a two part cleaner. The two part cleaners are fairly strong acids, or caustics, and the second part is a nutralizer. Gloves, goggles, etc. really apply here. You probably want to remove the metal brackets from the platform. Mark where each bracket came from, they might be different from port to starboard. If you want to paint the brackets when they are not on the platform, Mercury marine should have some "phantom black" spray paint you could use for the brackets.
If the platform is still not clean, you have to sand it. When the platform is clean, and dry I use Meguires Gold #46" teak oil. follow the directions on the teak oil.
