Nautique 230 side blower vents

I purchased a boat not realizing the guy removed the engine vents on the back of the boat. (both sides). He wrapped the boat so it was more difficult to realize this when I got it. I am not sure it's legal to sell a boat like that, but regardless before I take it on the water I need to add them back and make sure it has a proper ventilation system.

however, I can't find them anywhere, nautiqueparts etc. or local dealer. anyone know where I can find them? pictured my boat showing the missing vents.

Contact the seller - maybe he has them stashed somewhere and forgot about them.

ya, I have no clue. I tried to contact him. im pretty mad at myself for not noticing that right off the bat. does anyone know if it is legal to sell a boat without engine vents?

Those have been tough to find for quite a while. I was thinking of having a metal vent/grill fabricated. I think there is a market for someone with a CNC machine to sell a few.

The starboard side for a 2009 or later has been out of stock for at least 4 years. I assume since he could not find them on Nautique parts and with the tower shown that the boat must be a 2009.

I would suggest calling NautiqueParts. They may be able to tell you if those will work or not.

If nothing else, you might be able to make something like this work. These are the ones for a 211, but they may cover the holes and look OK.

I they fit it's a good replacement option. The larger fiberglass vent covers seem to easily get caught against docks or other boats if you are not on top of your bumpers.

It was back when Earl Sheib used to paint "Any car for $99.99". If you did all the prep work, but if it didn't get masking tape & paper on it, it got painted.
If you are running on the water while getting this ironed out, I would crack covers for breathing, and an all open during start ups.

If you list a 220/236/230 enough for surfing, you can take water in those vents. Probably explains why the previous owner remove them, haha.

Theoretically, with EFI, you should have no fuel vapors in the engine compartment. But they still add blower motors to new boats. Hope isn't a method haha.

I have a set from my 2008 230 in Alberta, Canada.
I made custom vents to replace them.
